I just got a feeling that when the rankings are released tomorrow night that they'll put us at #5, I HOPE I'm wrong though.

I tend to agree. I also believe they'll give Michigan a pass and not drop them much if at all which is total bias but that's already been pointed out. The 3 that lost are still in position to win their conference championships so they'll get some favorable latitude IMO. Not saying it's right if it turns out to be true, but I won't be surprised at all if the only team that drops from the top 4 is Washington.

1. Alabama
2. OSU
3. Michigan
4. Clemson

That's my best guess.

Ohio State is not in line for a conference championship game. Penn State beat Ohio State and if they win out they will be ahead of Ohio State. Michigan is still in the race for the conference title game. Ohio State is in the same boat with UofL.

If the Cards are left out of the top 4 tomorrow, here's why:

39-51 is the combined record of the FBS teams UofL has played. SOS, IMO, is an unfair assessment tool, because we can't control how other teams perform. But, it's part of it. The combined record for Clemson's FBS opponents is 50-29, and, obviously, they own the head to head against us. So, I'm thinking Bama, OSU, Clemson, UofL. With three of the top 4 losing, it seems impossible UofL will be left out, but don't be shocked if Cards are #5. It wouldn't be an awful thing, either. Added motivation for Thursday.

I'm both surprised and not surprised that they're in the top 4 now.

In any case.....
