Is there really some bad blood between them ?

lots of chatter that there is

think Carl is just feeling the heat because he sees what we are building

also what did they pay rocco the Ohio state guy to come over?

...It is hard to understand kind, patient, caring, mature and genetic people who successfully wrestle being irritated by a rival?........is not all envy determined by looks and monies?.............which of the couple was first unfaithful over some mutual pounder?.........which currently has the most hair and pay?.........remember Snow White and the mirror?......."Who is the fairest of them all?"...........best all...............rs

DT didn't understand that Carl viewed him as the enemy the second he left Happy Valley. Thought it would be cordial, at the least.

Carl has made it clear on multiple occasions that there is nothing familial between them now (Jayden James, Rocco, Jax, Ross).

DT gets it now though. Gloves are off.

Well its time to go to war then. DT has put together the #2 and the #1 recruiting class the last two years. 2027 is already off to an impressive start.

As far as I know Sanderson has never said any of the above things. And has never said anything publicly on the topic. This is just you guys filling the void with your own narratives....you know, the internet.
Well, he called out programs for not following the rules (which is rich considering what has happened at PSU the past year), and PSU fans ran with the notion he was talking about DT. Of course, he has never said anything publicly, but all the Carl/DT drama is coming from PSU fans who are saying it is a thing. Maybe it is a false narrative but if it is is coming from the PSU faithful.

Nah. Not filling the narrative on anything.

Carl is just the ultimate competitor, and genuinely hurt that DT took the job. DT took Gilman, Kennedy and pretty sure talked to some support people and wrestlers on the roster. So neither is innocent, but Carl has definitely made it clear after DT tried to be amicable.

Probably doesn’t help that DT and Carl presumably have almost identical personalities with respect to being psycho competitors (in a good way). It’s like my dad and youngest sister, who are basically the same person and are constantly butting heads because of it.

Really weird that he'd be hurt that DT took the job when there was talk of Cael himself coming here a few years ago. As a coach and mentor I would think he'd be happy and proud that one of his guys got one of the best jobs in the country. As far as DT taking wrestlers or coaches with him when he left, that's just part of the game in big time sports. For example just look at penn st firing James Franklin this year. They hired Iowa states coach and he totally gutted their roster and left nothing but crumbs in the cupboard when he left.

What is hysterical about the whole things is DT was committed to ISU and Cael took him with him to PSU. There is a lot of do what I say and not what I do with Cael.

The real answer: Nobody knows, except those 2.

Cael has never said or indicated anything of the sort, and neither has David. And neither of them will, even if there was an issue. They're both classy individuals who are above that.

It's some fans making sh*t up just to stir sh*t up and create a desired storyline.

The next 3 years are gonna be crazy, and honestly it's what the sport needs. We may have won the tournament, but in my opinion, you guys stole the show and won Saturday night. Congrats.

All these rumors are starting because of Cael comment and PSU fans filling the void using their own narrative. OSU doesnt have anything to do with both. I can care the least what Cael thinks.

I hope we go and steal James back from PSU this offseason. I am sure he would like a program which knows how to make their freshmen national champions instead of 3rd and 4th positions.

This should be fun and what the fans need. I would love to have a Saturday night that means something in the team score. At Rocket Arena I never saw the Team points posted.

If this is the first you've heard of it or think this is the "start" of rumors, you haven't been paying attention.

That is an interesting take. In a thread started by not-PSU fans.

See below. This is where this stuff is coming from. Tweet has 110K views and spoiler: Not an OSU fan.

I don't put a lot of stock in a single twitter hot take. And views are just views. They should not be mistaken for shared opinions. Heck, you just viewed it yourself.

Twitter rewards clicks. And what does that have to do with accurate?

Cael's direct quote "we follow the rules and there's not a lot of that going on right now"
That implies that most of the other programs are cheaters and PSU is not. There is no other way to interpret his statement. That is a very low class comment. VERY POOR ON HIS PART, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL to accuse other programs of cheating.

@Wrestleknownothing you totally forgot the reason for all these. Vague comment by Cael. If you are goung to accuse someone(anyone) of something, dont do it vaguely. Without proof.

Be like Syd Bartlett, say things openly.

Well if anyone is trying to "buy" recruits I think it might be Iowa from what I've read. Their money man I think is Bob Nicholls and he's going to continue to pump money to the Hawkeyes as long as TNT is there. I seem to recall that Iowa made the biggest offer to Bo Bassett this past year. I think he was committed to Iowa until he wasn't. Not sure what happened to open things back up.

I am not a fan of the vague comment either. If you have something to say, say it.

As for Syd Bartlett, to the extent she is basing things on Kurt McHenry you may want to proceed with caution.

I didn’t realize there was a rule against Jax transferring to OSU from his High School. Wouldn’t the NCAA have said anything about it? Sarcasm aside, he’s got to be referring about something else

No one knows who he was talking about. A lot of PSU people think he was talking about OSU but it is all guess work.

Yeah we do.

He could've and generally does take the high road on this stuff. But this is the second tournament in a row that we have somehow stolen the spotlight when his team breaks all kinds of records. It is high in probability it is in reference to us.

What he should've done was talk about his team. Taken that moment to cast good light on his team, individually his wrestlers.

Do I think he was talking about OSU? Sure. However, the cool thing about making blanket accusations is that you leave everything open to interpretation.
