Robinson's scholarship is conditional, depending on availability. As with all walk-ons.

Assume for the sake of argument that Duke signs both Hurt and Stanley.

Robinson would still be the 13th even with Bolden returning.

By class

Bolden
White
DeLaurier
Robinson

O'Connell
Goldwire

Jones
Baker

Moore
Ellis
Carey
Hurt
Stanley

Now, under this scenario, Robinson could still lose his scholarship if Hampton reclasses and wants to come to Duke. Or if Duke pursues a transfer.

Or if Williamson decides to return. :)

Thought it was 12. I’m trippin. Question. Something isn’t adding up. We’re potentially losing 4 ppl and hopefully bringing in 5. How are we not over the limit?

Because Duke wasn't at the limit this year. Duke only had 11 recruited players this season. Subtracting Vrankovic, Williamson, Barrett and Reddish leaves Duke with six available scholarships. Bringing in five players would still leave Duke with the ability to reward a walk-on, i.e. Robinson, with a scholarship.

I really like Mike Patrick. That was a great exchange start to finish.

I really miss Mike calling Duke games. My favorite off all time is probably his call of the miracle minute. Also remembering how as a grown man I ran around outside after the game going crazy because I couldn't calm down or believe it had happened, haha

A lot of people didn't like Mike Patrick. I never really understood why. I mean, yeah, the guy was a little aloof and could get off track....but he was always entertaining, to me at least.

There's nothing like a patented "are you kidding me?" from him.

I’ll never stop posting this. I was all in on Patrick after this beauty.

Gerald Henderson II?

I liken him to Maggette more. He scores at two levels, above the rim and from 3 much like Maggette. Gerald had that mid range game down pat. Those were the teachings of a father in the league for over a decade.

I’d love to see Cassius stick around for a couple of years and develop himself.

I read somewhere he was known for not being a great shooter but he had really good form. Then it went on to say that he’s been working really hard on it and has improved a lot. It didn’t give any percentages so i don’t know how well that is

I thought he couldn’t shoot

I thought the same, but I keep hearing he has improved dramatically.

For context, he used to be top 5 in this class until other guys caught up. He got the Seventh Woods treatment in terms of the athleticism but no substance. His handle and shot have improved apparently, just not in time for the rankings I guess.

A shot blocker covers up a lot, especially for a young defense. See Justise, see Zion. Tre can only do so much, it would be very nice to see a rim protector who can cover up some deficiencies.

The more i watch him the more i like him. I think he’d add a different aspect to our team with his defense and his athleticism. We’re looking like we’re gonna have a pretty good 3 point shooting team and if he can prove he can consistently drive and finish through contact then it’s going to make defenders crash down hopefully leaving somebody open outside. And as for his shooting they say he’s improved a lot so that’s good. He doesn’t need to be great from there anyway. Just respectable so defenders can’t play way off. Take him in a heartbeat

Friction.

The more I keep seeing of this kid the more I think he is so valuable. He can really do a little bit of everything. D, can guard 1-3, transition/explosion to bring energy to the crowd and team, underrated passer, great form on the shot, can slash, mid range, long range even though it’s still a work in progress. When one thing isn’t working it seems like he can do other things. Would be here at least a year I would think. Really hoping we can lock him up.

He’s got some full games on YouTube. He’s much more different than I thought from his highlight vids.

I've been watching some of these videos and I have to say.....his jumper is not as broke as some are saying. The mechanics are there. Those mid-range pull up jumpers are a must for a point gaurd. He looks pretty fluid when shooting them.

Does the fact that we are not hearing anything about Watford now mean that Stanley and Hurt are a done deal?

tp is spot on.....Wonder whats up?

OFC
I know him and watford were both schedule for the 20th and that’s the jordan brand classic. It’s usually televised but it’s not this year. Watford said thats why he moved his date and I’m assuming it’s the same reason for Cassius
