Some guys on the DLeague said that you do model railroading. What scale? The reason I ask is that I have a bunch of 50's era Lionel equipment (ABA SantaFe locomotive setup) maybe a dozen cars, a ton of track, and a vintage controller (Type ZW 275 Watt Trainmaster Transformer)

I'd rather give it to somebody that would take the time to restore if needed (haven't even tested any of it since I was a kid) and that it would mean something to, than sell it.

It's O scale.

Man those 50s-era Lionels are bulletproof. After my parents died several years ago, as we were cleaning out their house I found the old set my grandpa had collected for me as a kid (I was born in '64 and most of the stuff was from the 50s. It had been boxed up and in the basement since he died in 1972. My parents died in 2006 -- so the train had not been used in 34 years. As soon as I found it I stopped cleaning, cobbled together a straight section of track, hooked up the transformer, and that damned locomotive fired right up! Huge thrill, felt like a little kid again.

I'm into slot cars. Not your father's crappy old set (cars never stay on the track etc) I build my own and modify them (traction magnets, souped up armitures, high resistance controllers, computerized lap time etc. )

If I was any good at wood-working, I'd build a hand-made routed track.

These cars ****ing fly.
