He’s awful defensively, but the same could be said for about the whole team.
Brea can't/won't play defense, so if he isn't scoring, why is he even on the floor?
I really thought Brea was going to be tge guy so many other teams have that hits whenever he's open, but again, we have a guy that was billed as a great shooter, only to have so many games like this where he doesn't do squat.

You just can’t out Offense every team every game you have to be able to play defense too. Pope really needs to figure this out!
I'd like to know what happened with Almonor. Something has made even Carr a better play, and that hurts. What happened to AA??

Why can’t we screen for Brea the way the Sooners screen for Goodeye? Gouges, what a name for a shooter.
No switching at all on the defensive end just allowing Oklahoma to keep shooting wide open shots!!!!!!

I just don't understand how Pope hasn't gotten our defense like any better and we are damn near at the end of the regular season ... we look completely lost on defense.
The reason why people are more upset then they might be right now is because at the beginning of the year they gave us Hope. Then the SEC took our hope away and the team didn't respond.
The main concern is how will Pope build his teams here on out. If this years team is anything like his next 2 years.

Everyone seeing it .. popes substitution patterns are total **** . Listen Coach Travis Perry and Trent Noah are not leading you to SEC road wins .. they are home crowd material only … it’s not rocket science or analytics .. STOP resting players and giving away games to **** teams .
He has no basketball skill besides taking a set 3. Thats it. He does nothing else. Gives you nothing else. He's a big chubby space eater unless they're leaving him open for 3.

He cannot defend at all. Some times he’s just too slow if foot. Wish we had done threes from him, though. We can’t get anyone open from three.
On that last 3, Go back and watch the first screen set by the big OOF, #10 Godwin. He squats, lowers his shoulders, and hip checks Brea.
THAT is what put Brea behind the shooter. Carr didn't close out well either, but that shot should NOT have occurred...that is at least TWO 3 pt shots Goodine has been open BECAUSE of illegal moving screens by Godwin
Not saying Brea is awesome defensively, but when the OK bigs are allowed to play like a left tackle preventing a DE from getting to the QB, it's hard to stay with a shooter.

You know we aren’t the only team that are playing these type of teams. We absolutely have to start taking care of the business that’s in front of us.
A bunch of our fans wanted the conference to be this competitive. This is what it looks like.
We used to out score teams. (Our defense was never great.) Now that we have lost scorers to injuries, we don't have the pieces to win winnable game. We may not win another game this season playing like this. LSU, maybe because it's at home, but...
I know this is bad, but I am starting to look forward to next season. A team that can't play defense is simply not advancing far into the playoffs. You simply can't expect your offense to always be able to put up big numbers.
You have just made a defense sound even worse. If they can't dribble and we still can't guard them...
