Uk takes on UT this weekend in Volunteer country. UK is 18-7 (4-2 in SEC ), while the Vols come in at 16-9 (2-4 in SEC ). The Cats will trot out the usual suspects, Zack Brown, Dustin Beggs, and Kyle Cody on Fri. Sat. and Sunday.
If we can win our 3rd series in a row, and get to 6-3 in the SEC and 20 wins or better overall, we would continue to be in good shape for the post season.

Down 2-0 to start the game. Becker committed one error that led to a run. Possibly should have had enough.

Our defense is frustrating. We let UT do a delayed steal and because we were late to cover the bag the runner was safe. Just crazy that we allow that.

Brown needs to be taken out of the weekend. Now given up another double with no outs to give UT a 4 run lead. Henderson continues to be an idiot and has no one working in the bullpen.

I think we have given up more extra base hits in this game than UT has had in their first 6 sec games combined.

We're getting destroyed by a guy that isn't a weekend starter. He's had to fill in because UT has had a lot of injuries. He dominated us.

White with a great steal and an error gives UK a third run. Tennessee going to another pitcher with one out and McNeil up.

It wasn't scored as an error but Shelby threw the ball away and it kept the inning alive and Tennessee is up 11-5.

FINAL.... UT 14 Kentucky 5, we score 5 runs in the 8th to sort of get back in it, then give up 5 runs after 2 out in the bottom of the 8th. Changes in the line-up need to be made, some hitters droped down, others moved up.
Defense continues to be a problem, even what should be routine plays.

Need to find another Friday night starter, for one. Of course, given that we generally lose to a pitiful team mid week, e.g., Western and Northern Ky, not sure that new starter should be.

I'm starting to believe the Florida series was fools gold. Pitiful Friday night pitching. Extremely bad offensive approach. Atrocious defense. Is there anyone who still thinks Henderson needs to be the head coach besides Mitch Branhartt.

Not to look ahead or anything but Louisville is going to destroy this pitching staff Wednesday night.

I don't want to think about the UL game. Hopefully we turn this series around, but last night's game should have never happened.
