Cats tied for 8th heading into today so a win today would be HUGE as I really don't expect much at Ole MISS next week and I don't think we can probably finish lower than eight and make the tourney. The series losses to Aub and Ark look disastrous right now...very much between a rock and a hard place

Anyone know how long White will be out ? When he returns, I think I would keep Recks hitting lead off, more patient, and has a great eye at the plate.
I think it is just a matter of time before USC gets the lead for good. UK has gotten extremely lucky in this game. USC has left 10 runners on base. They will continue to chip away at this lead and probably get the better of us soon.

Another pitching change. UK turns to Hjelle. Wonder who UK will turn to after this considering that literally all of our reliable pitchers have been used. Better hope Hjelle does well and that we end this in the bottom of the 9th.

Hjelle allowed a walk and a single to start the 11th to put runners on the corners. However, he strikes out the next three batters and UK can win it in the 11th.

Big win, may have saved GH his job (unfortunately). UK now has two of the best series wins in the country with this one and UF. This one goes a long way to getting into the tourney, but still a lot of work to be done.
I honestly can't decide if we are in or out. Before the weekend it was a definite no. Now I might put us somewhere on that last 4 in/out line. We play Indiana during the midweek and that can really help us if we win it. Then I just don't know.
Big series at OM next week as they now stand at 14-10 vs UK 13-11...lots of changes can happen between 3-4 teams in the next couple weeks

Someone please explain these crazy pitching moves that Hendo makes. I mean Logue got every hitter he faced, and he goes to Strecker, who is normally money, but he got hit hard. Then these match ups he goes with, drives me batty.
We actually won in spite of Hendo today, give the. team credit, give Kyle Cody credit for knuckling down when he had to. On a bright note, we won 2 games without probably our best hitter in White.
If we can go up to IU and get one, then maybe sneak out a series win at OM, we are in pretty good shape.

Yep, would agree with that, very strange season, look terrible in mid week games but somehow conjure up just enough to win some big SEC series.
It's so stupid that Hairston dosen't see the field more...too big of a bat not to see more time.
