Cats look to take the series today @ 1 :00 pm at the Cliff. Lefty Zach Logue 1-1 takes the hill for UK. After scoring 29 runs in the previous 2 games against EKU and WKU, they only scored 2 runs yesterday, but it was enough to get the win thanks to Sean Hjelle, and Colton Cleary.
It would be a great confidence builder to be able to win and take the series from the # 23 ranked UCSB squad that went to the CWS last season.

Should have mentioned that Kyle Nelson ( 1-1 ) with a 2.00 era will be on the bump for UCSB, which has outstanding starting pitching. Look for another relatively low scoring game both today and tomorrow.

Lost 5 games by a grand total of six runs...played a very good schedule so far.

And we've won the last two by two runs so maybe we're finding who can come in and give good innings in relief in addition to the starters pitching well the last two games. Both starters going 7 strong innings is really big.
