Not worth piling on, until proven otherwise U.K football is mediocre at best.
We've all pretty much been giving Johnson grief but he did come back and manage the last drive well enough to get the field goal. I'll grant that the time management was horrible, but it got the job (barely) done. That last pass was on target.

Yeah give credit to where it's due........Johnson put that last pass on target and for as bad as the time management was for that drive, it was smart on that last play before to the FG to get down lol

Go cheer for someone else. Seriously. If your upset UK is winning why are the other teams losing to them. I know some people expect basketball turnarounds, or turnaround timetables that elite football schools have that aleads havery deeplease rosters, tradition, etc. But a team with no tradition, that before had no reason for kids to come here, with basically a 3rd string qb, and only 11 seniors is improving, even if slowly. Previous years UK loses all those games. Does everyone want them to be better, of course, but they're one game behind where they were projected this time of year. Are people satisfied, of course not. But I thought UK would be a five year turnaround from yr 1...not just get a couple recruiting classes and win 8 games. Because year 4!!! I mean how miserable are you...they went from a couple years ago to playing defenders out of position just to try to contain, to actually being able to field positions properly. They've got a long way to go, but they are doing some positive things. I'm sure you were aware what all the players were doing and formations tho.

You don't go from suck to outstanding quickly.... it takes time ..... so enjoy this win and hope we make a bowl game and just build our program up each year!!!!!

I understand why you feel this way and I'm happy we won the game. I won't lose site of that, especially for the players that bust their asses. But you don't have to look very far to see that Stoops makes horrific mistakes. A grade school child would know that timeouts needed to be called and he's too dense to even know that. Even Stoops himself was laughing in amazement at the end. Really happy for Austin. He's a total class young man. I just can't get by Stoops glaring weaknesses week after week after week.

Was listening to sports radio tools earlier today. I think they've missed every single game.
You are entitled to your opinions but if you are on a Kentucky football board after a conference win sharing these kind of opinions, you may want to consider spending your time on alternative activities.
The Cats were clutch in a high pressure situation. There were errors, sure. They still rallied and got the win. There's some real resilience in this team. Watch out Mizzou.

Huge huge win. An ugly win is still a win over an SEC team.

No, you dum dum. This is not a "really bad team". This is a team that, in a place other than the SEC West, would win at least 7 games, and probably 8. It would be about the 50th to 60th best team in the country. It is not a great team, but it is chock full of NFL prospects, and it has one of the better coaches in the country. It is a team that was favored over us for a reason. No, it's not a great team, but it's a legitimate win and one that we really needed. Enjoy it, and please remember, that this is not a basketball game. Our basketball is expected to obliterate teams like this at home. Our football team isn't.
