UK ( 4-3 ) takes on NKU ( 0-6 ) today @ 4:00 pm at KPP. The Norse have not gotten off to a very good start, getting swept at Western Ky. to open the season, including a 19-2 thumping, as well as getting hammered 18-0 at Tennessee.
However, they did beat UK 8-6 just last season, so anything could happen. Hopefully the Cats will continue to build off yesterday's win over EKU.

Hazelwood had the flu on opening weekend. That's why he didn't pitch. This according to Gabriel.

NKU breaks thru for first hit against Hazelwood in the 6th. He had tossed 5 no-hit innings with 10 Ks.

Hazelwood brilliant thru 6 innings, offense needs to come alive against a team that has allowed football scores to a couple different opponents already this year !

Hazelwood’s day is over. Sensational start for the lefty. 6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 11 K, 0 BB. Butchett comes in from the pen to protect the lead. But leadoff 2B for Norse could be trouble...

They slapped an error on Hill with that double. He cut off the ball but it bounced off his glove and got behind him helping the 3rd run score.

UK has to battle back down 4-1 in the bottom of 7

Norse pitchers have missed the mitt a ton today and yet they've gotten strikeouts on them. Missing their spots and still hurting us.

Let's be honest without throwing names...there are several guys on this team who are not talented enough to be here. This is a really, really bad baseball team we are about to lose to. Not blaming the kids because they were recruited by this coaching staff This is not a pretty day for this program and staff.

Hate to bring more negativity to the game thread but this is going to be a bummer to have a sub par product for the first year of the new park.

Not seeing much to get excited about so far.

Today has been a pathetic display against someone that should have no prayer coming in here and winning! This program is in worse shape now than it ever was under GH.
