When you can go after the best in the country and the player not have to worry about scholarship/cost differential, you can’t compare.
Good excuse as to why they can't compete with Vandy but why can't they compete with UF or Miss St or Ole Miss or Arkansas, etc, etc, etc?
It’s not an excuse, it’s a fact. Plus look at those schools you listed they have a rich baseball history, why wouldn’t you choose them over Ky?
The Vandy scholarship thing can be, and has been, debated to the end of time. Does it give them an unfair advantage? Maybe. But Vandy is only one team in the SEC. There’s no reason Kentucky can’t be a competitor in the conference. Let’s worry about fixing Kentucky’s issues before tackling other teams. 
Then why field a team? Recruit and develop is the key. In the last decade non-traditional programs have developed into real threats. No reason to think UK can't.
The same excuses can be made for the football program. But look at the strides being made there. It takes the right coach. The right support from the administration. And the fans showing up.
The best example of this is the softball team. Go look at their history before Rachel Lawson became the coach compared to where they are now.
IMO there is no development so you can’t blame the players when a coach makes the moves he does. They can only do so much.
And who woulda thought UK women could win a NC....in Volleyball??
Why have the 11.7 scholarships when you can do what wink wink Vandy does. To me, that doesn’t seem right.
Vandy mad they didn't get a strike call earlier in the at bat and UK makes them pay with a 2-2 and 2 out blast. Vandy changes pitchers.
I mean, they have a legitimate gripe. The pitch was pretty good. Kinda like the Florida game. Speaking of Florida, that’s who Kentucky plays on Tuesday.
Really happy for the kids. Played hard and didn’t quit. I want Ming fired immediately but I can never pull against UK. Glad they got the win.
Have 3 of the gkids this weekend and just turned it on in the t9th with 2 outs and the flood gates opened⚾️⚾️

No. It's more complicated than that, but they give need or academic scholarships to players that don't get athletic ones. So, they can basically give more scholarships than other schools because of this policy. Other schools can do it, but Vandy has it for all students and that's why it works.
