You know Bobby will have Louisville ready on Saturday . and I don't Look for Bobby P. to let off the Gas either , it's going to be bad for my Cats . 55-17 Louisville ! I Hope not ! But we have No answer for Lamar Jackson !

Wildcats are going to win this game....37-30. I already know the outcome, sorry to be a spoiler:D....but if it helps some of you all to chill and relax, then I don't mind bringing you all the good news ahead of time.

UK doesn't need have a defense that can hold Louisville to 30pts

You are right. KU will be finished by halftime. But you are wrong. You hoped to beat the Red Birds in regulation. Instead you will deck the Cards in overtime.

Let's be real folks, there is no,none, absolutely 0 evidence that UK will have any answer for Lamar Jackson. If not for Jackson we would have a chance to win this one but he will probably account for 400+ yards of offense. Petrino will try to showcase Jackson to the max extent he can

We have not shown the ability to change a game plan to surprise anyone and probably won't start this week end. We don't have the speed to do what Houston did, hopefully we can run the ball to shorten the game and maybe even win the turnover battle. If we can do those two things we might keep it close enough to let UL beat themselves.

The op is correct in his first post .... The Kansas State Wildcats WILL stomp the birds ... (JayHawks) ... this Saturday.

But I fear he is wrong later in this thread, where he says that the UK Wildcats will beat the Cardinals in overtime. If UK is going to win, it will be in regulation. There won't be overtime in PJCS this weekend.

No overtime is correct, as much as I love and will be pulling for my CATS .....afraid Lamar will have 500 plus yards just himself.

Our D can't stop him, no telling how much he scores.

Doc is correct...UK doesn't have the defensive talent to replicate what Houston was able to do. They could, though, follow Duke's game plan in attempting to shorten the game by controlling the ball and clock, limiting possessions, and hope UL continues to make some self-inflicted mistakes that kills some of their drives. This will require an efficient short-passing attack to accompany its running game. If you can get into the 4th qtr hanging around, anything can happen.

One thing Duke was pretty good at, though, that the Cats seem to lack, is the ability to bring pressure. You MUST pressure Lamar, and pray that he, or his receivers, make mistakes. You do have the corners to man-up outside, which will allow both blitzing & spying to contain, but you must get to him consistently in less than 3 secs and make him make quick decisions. Giving him time to process will be catastrophic...as teams like FSU & NC St found out. If you try to just rush 3 or 4, he'll beat you badly. Two things you absolutely can't do against a Bobby Petrino team...allow them to run it, and allow them time in the pocket.

The blueprint is there to slow them down, and has been for weeks, but executing it is another story. Speed trumps size going against this Cardinal offense. BC, Virginia, Wake, & Houston all did very similar things defensively. Virginia got the benefit of much self-infliction by the Cards. They were close late because they executed what they planned, and Louisville just played horribly. Wake, like Houston, has lots of speed up front, and caused lots of problems before they tired late. But they didn't have the offense to get UL down by much and make them one-dimensional as Houston was able to do. BC has a sound defense as well, but never had a chance because UL and Lamar just played very well that day and jumped on them early. They crushed the Eagles downfield with pinpoint passing against man coverage.

I feel like this game will either be low-scoring and close, or a massive 40-point blowout. If the Cats are able to complete a high % of short passes, and run the ball successfully, controlling clock, and convert 50% of its possessions into points, then this game could resemble the Duke game, should UL make some drive-killing mistakes (which they've done often all year with exception to the FSU, NC ST, & BC games). But if UK can't muster some serious pressure, and the Cards start off well and put points in the board in a hurry, then this game could get ugly. I think the Cats have some real challenges facing them in generating pressure, but still containing Lamar, especially as they start to tire.

UK has the running backs to do the "3 yards and a cloud of dust" offense to control the clock and keep LJ off the field, wear out the defense, and break out some big plays. If Louisville's fumblitous hasn't been cured, this game will be closer than 24.5 points that is for sure.

We can run the ball to shorten the game but we in no way shape or form will have an answer for Jackson. I say UL covers the spread easily in this one.

While Id love to beat Louisville the only team we've truly stomped all season was Missouri and Louisville isn't much like Missouri.

I don't think Louisville could beat Georgia or Tennessee. I expect a close game or a win..

Enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday, because if you really think UT & GA are a level above Louisville, then you're probably going to have a very disheartening Saturday. There is a reason UK is more than a 3-td dog (much larger underdogs than they were against UT & GA).

I would never say the Cats didn't have a chance to win or keep it close, upsets happen all the time in sports. Although UL has shown flashes of ineptitude at times, with numerous self-inflicted mistakes, they've also proven to be the most explosive team in the nation when they play mistake-free football.

In my opinion, UL is "better" than anybody in the SEC East this year. And they may very well get the chance to prove that in bowl season....if UK can upset them Saturday. Otherwise, no SEC East team will make it to a NY6 bowl, like Louisville will be in at 10-2.

Happy turkey day!

I think of the SEC east, the cards would have their hands full with Florida. The gators have an excellent defense...

You're right UF has a great defense but they also have a piss poor offense. I think the Cards could score enough to beat UF provided they don't help UF out with turnovers.

As long as UL has Jackson they are worlds better than UK,most likely that will play out on the field this Saturday. If UK doesn't run the ball pretty well or turns it over 2 or 3 times UL could put up 60. The game could look much like the UK/UT game

I doubt that Stoops and Gran will get too creative in this one but if they want to make any type of run at being in a position to pull out a win they will have to do something UL isn't expecting and have a 2nd plan after UL adjusts to the first one.

I expect UL to either take out their frustration from the Houston game on UK or just not give a crap and pay no attention to detail in this one. Limiting the UL player exposure to the media this week makes me think Petrino is trying to get UL to forget last week and focus on this week, maybe he can sell that and maybe he can't. Things on the sideline looked pretty bad at times during the Houston game.

There is no evidence that UK can stop(or even slow down a mobile QB

Isn't that limiting the players just to KENYUCKY MEDIA or were those mannequins I saw on TV last night talking their hate for all things UK

Yes, Florida has a very good defense, but they can't score enough to keep up...unless they are able to make Louisville play like they did in the first half last Thursday. I've watched UL closely in 11 games over 3 months, against a variety of competition, and I really don't think we'll see that type of performance by them again. But if we do, then obviously, several people would probably beat them, including Florida.

But when they're not getting in their own way (Thursday they had 15 penalties, over half of which were pre-snap, few drops, and at least three fumbles caused by themselves), they are the most explosive team in college football, scoring over 20 points per game, on average, "above" what their opponents have allowed throughout their season. The only offense in college football to do so, and despite the fact they lead the nation in penalties and lost fumbles. A pretty amazing set of stats. They might be the most "inefficient" #1 offense of all-time, because of their explosiveness potential.

They have limited access to opposing media all season. This isn't a "just Kentucky" thing.

Yes it was Kentucky media,I think to limit the questions that might be asked in order to regain focus and build the mindset he(Petrino)is looking for with the players.Put Houston behind them as quickly as he can

Lets see how the two best Acc. teams Clemson and Louisville does against 2 of the worst Sec East Schools UK and South Carolina before we go to claiming Louisville could win the Sec. East.

Cats need to limit the Cards to about 20 minutes of game clock. Do that and we got a shot. Our offense sets up perfectly to limit Lamar's touches. Our guys need to be ready to go though. If they're focused I have no doubt we can win this game. Cats have been undersold all year long.

The only thing I can say is we are every bit as good as Duke and better than Virginia and they almost beat Louisville by using what we do the best! The run game and eat up clock!
