The only thing I can say is we are every bit as good as Duke and better than Virginia and they almost beat Louisville by using what we do the best! The run game and eat up clock!

Per Sagarin, UK is about the same as Duke, better than Virginia, but not as good as either NC State or Florida State.

So what that tells me is that it's mainly going to be about which Louisville team shows up. Do you get the one that beat the crap out of NC State and FSU at home at noon on Saturday, or do you get the one that struggled on the road against Virginia and Houston and on a Friday night against Duke?

Petrino will unleash the hounds. Bad day for UK. :( cats could have had him

Yeah, back when NO legitimate University in the nation would have him, let alone goody goody UK, and VERY few would have him even after he spent a year in exile at WKU;

Who do you think jurich was bidding against to have to give him a $24,500,000 contract, but that might have been more justified than the $500,000 bonus that was a true sham. Kickbacks, anyone? But I guess the UL students that are paying for part of the extravaganza really just wanting an education and less Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday games are used to it by now.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with which UK team shows up.

You're right UF has a great defense but they also have a piss poor offense. I think the Cards could score enough to beat UF provided they don't help UF out with turnovers.

I guess we get a pretty good sample of SEC EAST against ACC this weekend.. Florida plays Florida State. Georgia Plays Georgia Tech are they still in ACC? South Carolina Plays Clemson and UK plays UL.

I am glad we can agree, jauk. Happy Thanksgiving!

A lot of times pride precedes the fall.

Now I don't really expect UK to win the game, they aren't just 24.5 point favorites, they are 26 point favorites, and were when I bet on UK on Monday, Wednesday, and today (I don't bet enough to make a difference) but I do expect UK to show up and cover that spread. But then again, that's why they call it gambling.

Of course the ex-con (well, he should have gone to jail in Arkansas, and maybe still be there) WILL try to run it up to the max if he can, despite him making a fool of himself on national TV talking about NOT running it up and sportsmanship, I doubt if he can spell sportsmanship, all of his amazing academic work that earned him a $500,000 bonus notwithstanding

As much as I respect Petrino (as a football coach), the performance @ Houston was shockingly abysmal. There was so much on the line and they **** the bed.

That said:

1). Rivalry game and anything can happen.

2). UofL can try to play up the slapdick/smurf hatred schtick, but let's face it, the Cards are deflated and it will take a Herculean task to emotionally reinvest into a game they are heavily favored in.

3). UK playing with house money and should play fast n loose.

Prediction!

UK covers.

I want to believe it , But No-Way does Stoops out coach Petrino ! And what sucks ,Houston giving Petrino a beat down last thursday . You know Bobby will have Louisville ready on Saturday . and I don't Look for Bobby P. to let off the Gas either , it's going to be bad for my Cats . 55-17 Louisville ! I Hope not ! But we have No answer for Lamar Jackson !

……….or, unfortunately, any other qb with two legs. Not just in the past few years. Third and long, for our defense, is a twenty yard gain seemingly since the beginning of time.

I can overlook who I want since I am not playing the game lol. If by chance UK wins we will just say the team was disinterested in the game

same here if one of the teams is no interested in this game they don't deserve to win. but if the SEC East beats the ACC's best ??

The SEC East has already beaten Va Tech and UNC who are the top two teams in whichever division of the ACC they are in (no one will ever know who is in what division nor ever care).

Maybe this thread should be on Rupp's Rafters??? :sunglasses:

I'm sure it will be at some point. From what I've seen of the two teams so far, the hoops game should be another UK win. Calipari has assembled yet another great class of one and done players.

Yes, Florida has a very good defense, but they can't score enough to keep up...unless they are able to make Louisville play like they did in the first half last Thursday. I've watched UL closely in 11 games over 3 months, against a variety of competition, and I really don't think we'll see that type of performance by them again. But if we do, then obviously, several people would probably beat them, including Florida.

But when they're not getting in their own way (Thursday they had 15 penalties, over half of which were pre-snap, few drops, and at least three fumbles caused by themselves), they are the most explosive team in college football, scoring over 20 points per game, on average, "above" what their opponents have allowed throughout their season. The only offense in college football to do so, and despite the fact they lead the nation in penalties and lost fumbles. A pretty amazing set of stats. They might be the most "inefficient" #1 offense of all-time, because of their explosiveness potential.

I love how the UL people love to come here and discount any OPINIONS that do not match theirs. UF has played many teams that have great offenses this year and they shouldn't be able to "keep up". Sorry, but UL played one amazing game this year (FSU) and competed well on the road in Clemson when Clemson turned it over 5 times; otherwise, they should have lost to UVA, nearly lost to Duke, and got nailed by Houston. You may not feel that anyone in the SEC East could keep up with UL, but there are some here who objectively see that several SEC east teams have the required talent to "keep up" with your amazing UL juggernaut.
