Kennesaw State is closer to the types of teams we'll play in league play. Not looking good
Yea, this is an unmitigated disaster. Not a good sign of things to come b/c Georgia is coming in here next week with a loaded lineup and only one loss.
The team seems different than last year. Hitters are struggling and the pitching doesn’t seem to just dominate like it has the past couple of years.
It’s one thing to bunt and run when you have an elite defense and great pitching. But that stuff isn’t as effective when you need to score 7-8 runs to win.
Some of the injuries hurt us this weekend but I’m curious to see how we can hold up against an SEC weekend.

Very discouraging weekend, but it's still early in the season. The next three weeks will tell us a what. A hot Georgia team comes in here this weekend and the home crowds should be pretty weak with the games all matched up against the SEC basketball tourney. The following week, we have the worst team in the SEC (Mizzou) on the road. Desperately need to win both series.
We still haven't had our full position player roster, including best lineup, available for a single game yet. Continuity matters. And the games weren't as bad on the whole if you watched them as the score would indicate over the weekend.
That said, it definitely was not a good weekend and the margin for error is much smaller this season. Think about it this way, UK throttled a Kansas team that just won a series from previously unbeaten and top 15 national power TCU. Baseball is weird.

As we start SEC play this weekend, we are at or near the bottom in most SEC offensive categories. The same for fielding. Pitching has been somewhat a bright spot at the middle of the pack.
We need our offense to to really step up. Hopefully we can get everyone healthy and get a consistent lineup out there.

Good comeback last night, as Murray is actually a top 50 RPI team.
