Purdue does seem to be the B1Gs Duke. Any time they win they get slobbered. Lose and it’s just shuffled to the side.
When they lost to the 16 seed it was talked about for like a day and them off.

It’s ok. Even though it was an exhibition, score and stats were still kept. We embarrassed them.

And there is some talk floating about the webs if they are overrated. And if UK is back.

…mention of the number 1 team losing last night on their website. It’s not because it’s a an exhibition game, because they do have Kansas beating Louisville. Hard to understand.

national media is a clown show and that doesn’t exclude the sports columnist. I am not surprised at all.

Purdue and Matt Painter are one of the darlings of CBB. They want to push them it’s been happening for a while. Of course, Bull Self has a horrible record with his players abusing women and nothing said. They love him too.

Duke’s team could abuse the mothers of the NCAA and it wouldn’t matter.

Meanwhile Kentucky basketball could cure cancer and it wouldn’t make the topics on PTI. Maybe in the ending of the show when they do a 2 minute drill or whatever.

Anybody that denies what was seen on Friday is fooling themselves...period. It was a level of domination, on every level, that can't be dismissed. We were down two major players and still did this.

So, can preparation on their part have an impact on things? Sure, just not enough to matter...on one night, and really not even close.
Yes, Purdue can be counted on to shoot better and yes, Painter can coach for our system.

But I'm not gonna go so far as to say it would've mattered much because we toyed with them late and never broke a sweat. It was a rare domination of a really good team in Purdue...but in every facet and every way, without our two best players. I hope we make it look as easy against Georgetown and all season long.

We have a schedule that, if we dominate even half as convincingly, the media will be forced to talk about UK very early on. If we lose, they'll probably write us off again. That's not really a bad thing though. This team has dawgs, defense an incredible depth everywhere.....and we'll be fine.

We can't give UK any credit for any wins, BB or FB either one... Not going to happen and CBS has always been that way, the Big are the winners and on ESPN it's DU, no other need apply........

That’s ok. I’ve been letting all of the Purdue fans in my neighborhood know in person. They’re aware.

IDK, I feel like Ohio State is the BIG 10's version of Duke.
Purdue just isn't a big enough deal in any sport. Nobody really seems to care if they win or lose. Their fanbase is small and just not very aggressive. They don't draw enough views.

"IF" we lose? I am beginning to wonder .... who is going to screw us so royally on the road to do it, because we aren't going to lose a home game this year. Bet on that.

Let me rephrase.

in football it’s Ohio State.
In basketball. It’s Purdue.

So true, actually. TB and Miserbale gym in Nashville always were penciled in as a L for the sake of 50 free throws or some other BS shenanigans every year.

I really am working on my posting skills this exhibition season, shoring up the memory lapses and lack of energy. New board and all. New feel to the year. What a shameful post by a so-called old timer. Pffft. I really need to pick up my game around here... I'll admit it. This exhibition season is good for that, though. I'll take my "L" in this post in stride and give it a better performance before the season starts. My bad. (I take constructive criticism well)

I'll do better as the season progresses...

I sure hope we don’t but the SEC will be a Guantlet again and as we have seen Pope’s teams fall flat a couple times a year. When we are off, we are off. We will win a couple we shouldn’t and lose a couple we should. Just like every year. This team isn’t close to good enough to talk about undefeated anything. Too much parity now anyway.

We have won almost 70% of our games at Vandy.

The myth of that gym is just that.

That's true. But the times we've been screwed there and how we got screwed makes it a truly miserbale little gym for me.
