I'll be the first to say that in no way West Montgomery had the intention, desire or staff that wanted to see this score. I am not apologizing for the final. It is the world we live in. Much respect for the folks in Bear Creek, Bonlee and Bennett.
West Montgomery has never disrespected the fine folks there, the players or the coaching staffs. We have always known the challenges that are there. Please don't think this was done out of ill will. It is a tough season for WM. It is a challenge every day to see that WM isn't in the discussion for State. Tonight was an anomaly for both of us. The number of penalties thrown against both, the emotion and the outcome isn't how we are used to playing against one another. I extend a hand to the coaching staff and hope they, along with the fine folks from West will discuss this in Greensboro in April.
