She’s pretty inefficient. She’s a ball stopper and I’m not sure she’s a pt guard in the W. If she’s a 2 she’s going to have to shoot better than what she’s done in college. Agree with Legend on this one.

She has to improve the 3pt%.

Darn looking forward to giving her the NY Liberty treatment on D -she made a tactical error acknowledging it upset her and forced her out of her game -no more uncontested open lanes to easy lay ups . Mn is not gong to win the title if the other clubs are learning the formula for slowing her down -welcome to CC's world.

Funny how teams let the entire season go and with 3 games to go NY decided to guard her full court. Oh, and she pissed and moaned about it and now she's " hurt." She's a really good player but she's also been a bit of a head case since college. Not sure what exactly happened at ND. Funny how when you don't just let the opposing pt guard walk the ball up the court and dictate tempo the game becomes harder.

A little sideways from the discussion flow but why did the Fever sign Mercedes Russell? Save money? Personal favor? What?

Russell looks out of shape and lost when she is on the court. I realize she is an emergency option but damn, 8 rebounds and 11 points in 7 games played (68 minutes). Almost impossible to conclude that Russell was the best FA available.

The only thing I've read was saying something about not having the same "moral" values as Hidalgo

There's not a lot of 6'4+ women out there and the skilled ones are most likely on a roster already.

I’d take a 6ft1 athlete who will battle for rebounds and is able to create a shot over a 6ft4 out of shape broomstick all day.

…..harsh but Russell adds virtually nothing IMO. She might as well carry a white flag when stepping on the court.

Still don't know why they don't give Russell some minutes. She's a vet who can rebound and defend

They win they play the Dream...lose and the Mystics win and they play the Aces. I think they match up better against the Aces...or at least look better against.

I tend to disagree. I would give the coaching edge to Hammonds. Young and likely MVP Wilson are a more potent duo than any Dream combo. Defending champs are a tougher draw IMO.

Ya, as long as you don't turn it over a lot, you're more likely to get a bad shooting night from the Dream.

If not then the worst case in my opinion would be an Indy (6) / GS (3) first round matchup

Boston seems to play tough against Aja for some reason...Aja ends up out of the post a lot against Boston compared to Reese. I see both sides...jmo

I agree. A'ja and Jackie are the most talented players between ATL/LV. But as a team Atlanta is much deeper team and a tougher matchup for Indiana.

I'd rather roll the dice on Boston slowing A'ja down enough for the Fever to win.
