East had their chances in this game. Play calling was suspect. Had the ball at the PG 15 yard line with 4 mins left and called 4 straight pass plays, all incomplete. PG was a solid, disciplined team and didnt get caught out if position much. They had a good balance on offense and good scheme. I was impressed with the East defense, pretty solid against the run and gave up one big pass for the only score. There has to be more creativity on offense if the Golden Eagles expect to score consistently.

You’re correct - however 3 went out with injuries last night, lineman, corner and number 1 tailback. I think they were minor shake ups and will be okay but luckily still scored twice with out tailback and manage to hold on defense. Good start
I like my Golden Eagles but in my opinion the offense is always so predictable. When you continuously line up in the same formation it doesn't make playing defense that difficult.
Exactly what I am saying. I want the team to win and do well but there will have to be some changes on offense for them to consistently score points. They need to mix in a 2 back set or offset backs and run some motion with some fakes and jet sweeps. Also would help to run some screens and play action off of that and need to run more than the same 3 WR set. Also, they tried to run the read option too much with the QB and he doesn't have the skill set to consistently run that. He was mostly getting little to no gain or thrown for a loss. I hope they can figure out something quick or it will be a long season for the Golden Eagles.

The quarterback is more of a pocket/roll out type that does very well throwing the ball. He is not an option quarterback by no means. The speedy WR/RB they have (#4) coaches need to get creative and get the ball in that young man's hands as much as possible. He has break away speed and can get behind a defense real quick. #4 is not as big but with his skill set he kind of reminds me of a Percy Harvin that played years ago up in the Tidewater area in Virginia. I want my Golden Eagles to do well this year but the offense has to pick up the pace. The schedule doesn't get any easier this week with Wheatmore.
