CCCL/ESCC Division Names

I saw earlier that Edgy posted on twitter the absolute half-assed names of the CCL/ESCC divisions so I thought I’d take a shot at naming the divisions based on coaching greats from the conferences. Not as familiar with the ESCC history so I’m sure there will be some I left out. Also didn’t want to include any active coaches.
I’d just call it the Catholic Conference instead of all the initials but that’s just my opinion.

I tossed this same idea to Providence AD late last year. He said at that time that they were staying with the “colors”.

How about naming them as Roman numerals with the number being the total number of state championships owned by each division???

I remember when I was little and my brother’s freshman LA team won the Blue. He had a T-shirt that said “blue crew.” (That I ended up stealing)

If you played in the CCL Blue, you understand our tradition. Oldest football conference in the country. I hope it never changes.

Keep in mind that the “Blue” concept is relatively new. CCL has been around a long time.

Me personally, would prefer the divisions be named after legendary coaches/players. 3 CCL and 3 ESCC. I would even go as far as having the names be of the deceased. While I get the colors has a tradition, we all at time times have "devalued" (couldn't think of a softer term) teams that aren't in the Blue. When the reshuffle of the divisions happens, it wouldn't be as insulting if a team has to go to a division named after a legend instead of going to the Red which now is associated with the bottom
