Oakton played hard and competed credibly in this one but the outcome was never in doubt. The Wildcats scored on three of the their first four possessions, piling up significant yardage, especially on the ground, Taylor Boose scoring all three Centreville touchdowns. The Oakton defense actually pitched a shutout for the game's last two and a half quarters but the Cougar offense had only marginal punch, never driving deeper than about the Centreville 25. Sal Tutone did hook up with Jarrett Bacon on two nice pass plays, the second a great stretch catch by Bacon. But the Centreville defense, like its offense, was just too strong and too quick and too fast. It will be interesting to watch the Wildcats come playoff time. When and if they get all their pieces back, they will be difficult to handle. Cougars deserve credit for staying focused and playing tough all night but they fall to 3 and 4 on the season and have Robinson next week at Oakton. Centreville, 5-2, has W&L at home.

Centerville's offense was terrible in the second half. Ferrick was terrible the whole game. Missed guys wide open. Bad snaps. It was ugly. JMO. Give some credit to the Oakton D.
