TE Cethan Carter is officially back from suspension against Miami, says Nebraska coach Mike Riley. Hopefully we can have a full LB crew back as well with Young, Rose and Bando playing together for first time this year.

TE is a big part of Riley's playbook. We haven't utilized the TE our past 2 games. Hopefully we give Miami fits with Carter. I know for a fact Miami doesn't have a single LB that can match Carter's speed and athleticism. Kid is a beast.

Among the other injured Huskers that Riley touched on:

— Nebraska is hopeful that punter Sam Foltz will be able to play against Miami.

— Linebacker Josh Banderas, who missed Saturday’s game with a groin injury, won’t practice Monday, but is expected back this week. “We’re shooting for mid-week,” Riley said.

Trey Foster played in Saturday’s game despite not practicing much last week, and is expected to play and practice this week.

— Both Jack Gangwish and De’Mornay Pierson-El will once again be out. As will tight end David Sutton.

— Defensive tackle Vincent Valentine will be back and able to play Saturday, though he may not practice Monday.

— Cornerback Boaz Joseph, who was injured covering a kickoff, is also expected back, but won’t practice Monday.

— Riley also confirmed that tight end Cethan Carter will return to action after missing the first two games due to suspension.

I`m real high on cethan carter. As previous poster mentioned, carter has the athleticism that no other TE on our roster has (minus matt snyder) at the current time. If used properly, carter can be a HUGE weapon.

Really like Carter when he is healthy. Good TE's can put a lot of pressure on the defense.

Carter should help our run game. He's a physical and athletic blocker on the edge.
