If you are going to post an article (link doesn't work) supporting your subject, you should use the same info. The article refers to grown men as 21 and not 24. Big difference. 21 year olds have always played CFB and I don't think anyone has an issue with that. Until recently, players older than 22 have been pretty rare.

“I actually talked to Coach Day about that yesterday. We talked about it before the (national title) game, and he mentioned that. Everyone’s talking about it. How do we get a locker room of grown-*** men that have been through it? Coaching that 21-year-old is a much different cry from coaching that 18-year-old. You’ve got a grown-*** man with experience that understands the game.”

That is why I said look at the title. Not sure why the link does not work. Grown a** men increasingly refers to 23-24 year olds. Look at Indiana. Rightly or wrongly, others will copy what worked.

Yeah, but it's more than that - otherwise, wouldn't BYU be better than they are?

I'm not sure where you get that from. Again, the article you posted referred to grown *** men as 21. Also, keep in mind that a number of players still have extra eligibility from COVID. Although the average player age will likely get old due to NIL, I doubt college football will be "dominated" by 23 and 24 year olds.
