Paul Finebaum and Booger on SPN just said "uavel has no shot...period" Then they laughed heartily....[laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing] Finebaum replied" that FSU win is fading fast and the rest of their schedule is laughable except for UK which I think will be a very close game" uavel fans heading for the bridges..So what you are saying is we have a chance![]()
uavel looks like they are toast..pass the marmeladeWe aren't getting in regardless of how Kentucky finishes. FSU and Houston have been resume' killers for us this year, and us playing down to Virginia and Duke.

Paul Finebaum just said Louisville has no shot..period Only win over a team with a winning record is FSU and they are fading fast..So what you are saying is we have a chance![]()
An orange bowl as a consolation prize isn't too bad.Paul Finebaum just said Louisville has no shot..period Only win over a team with a winning record is FSU and they are fading fast..
Our coach gets bashed prematurely , I see no reason teams should be sparedThink we should stop bashing teams until we beat them.
Thanksgiving weekend should be good for you then, eat turkey and play against an overrated team.OK. Clemson is the clear winner of the ACC. At no point this season has even a thought of 2 ACC teams making the playoff come up for anyone logical. It just will never happen. All this people talking crap about UL fans being sad are silly. I dont think anyone who knows the game has considered UL a contender since the Clemson loss. You have to win your conference if youre in the ACC and want to make the playoff. And unless Clemson magically loses 2 more ACC games. Which is starting to look like an impossibility. Then UL being considered for the playoff is a pipe dream. The only way 2 teams from same conference make playoff is if there's 2 one loss SEC teams or maybe the Big Ten at some point. They dont reward teams like UL for playing creampuff schedules and beating abunch of terrible teams and not even winning its terrible conference.
Guess how many teams are 5-3, and in the top 25? There's ONE........... FSU. The only reason theyre even in the top 25 is because they beat a very overrated at the time Miami team in which since the wheels have fallen off of. FSU doesn't have any impressive wins. All of their wins at the time of were impressive due to rankings, but each ranked team they've beaten. Have since fallen out the rankings. So for some reason a very undeserving FSU team with zero wins vs ranked teams is the only 3 loss top 25 team. And that's 100% due to the name on the front of the Jersey's. So UL's only win vs a ranked is against a FSU team that CLEARLY doesn't belong in the top 25. I've been saying all season long, that FSU is not a top 25 team and will fall out of the top 25 when its said and done. And with that being said. If it becomes true which to me, in reality, theyre not a top 25 team due to 5-3 with zero ranked wins. So youre telling me, UL's only ranked win, is vs a team that shouldn't be and wont be in top 25 when its all said and done? Now someone, please explain to me. How a team. With ZERO WINS VS TOP 25 TEAMS (One win vs borderline top 25 team isn't remotely close to playoff worthy either if you decide to use that argument) AND A TEAM THAT WONT WIN EVEN ITS OWN DAMN CONFERENCE LET ALONE A TOP 25 WIN IS SUPPOSED TO EVEN BE CONSIDERED FOR A FREAKING PLAYOFF?
Im sorry, But this UL team is SEVERELY overrated. And a playoff birth WILL NOT HAPPEN. People on this board and everywhere make them out to be much better than they are. They should've lost to freaking UVA (4 different times UVA shot themselves in the foot in the redzone and came out with no points), They should've lost to Duke but an absolutely garbage no fumble call was called when UL clearly fumbled the ball at a critical juncture of the game and a phantom roughing the kicker penalty call where the kicker flopped after missing a field goal and instead of Duke with the ball down 4 points with 2 minutes left in the game and great field position they gave UL the ball and a first down. This UL team, is by far the most overrated team in the country next to FSU and maybe Clemson (I have no faith in Clemson D and quite frankly i think the ACC is an awful conference). I truly think outside of the QB position. That UK is a much better team than UL (I've said this for awhile now). The QB position for them which is obviously the most important position i believe gives them the edge on being a better team. But i truly think we beat UL this year. And IMO it wouldn't be much of an upset because of how severely overrated UL is. UL, even if they win out. Will not make the playoff. You pretty much have to beat at least a couple ranked teams AND win your conference if youre in the ACC if you even want to be considered for the playoff. And neither has or will any of those things happen. It's just a crazy pipe dream.

Ok first of all you want to knock FSU and say the only reason they are ranked is because of the name on their jersey. My response to that is tell me how Florida is 11th with their best win is UK who is 5-3. Clearly Florida is that high because of the name on the front of their jersey right ?
As far as Clemson goes they have wins over #7 UofL, #9 Auburn on the road and #22 FSU on the road. Believe it or not Troy is also helping Clemson's strength of schedule since they are 7-1.
Now you are talking about UofL having a crappy schedule which I agree it isn't the best. However you do realize that according to Sagarin UofL's SOS is 52 and UK's is 51 to date. The difference is we beat who we were suppose to beat and upset a team that was ranked ahead of us and loss to Clemson by 6 on the road. While U.K. Hasn't beat who they were suppose to beat and got boat raced by the two ranked teams they played.
Now as far as UofL making the playoff they still have a chance all be it a slight chance that would need a lot of parts to move just the right way. As of right now at worst we will end up playing in a New Years 6 Bowl most likely the Orange Bowl. As far as U.K. Beating UofL well as of right now I just don't see that happening but that is still 4 games away and a lot can change by then.
Florida is 6-1 with their only loss to then 14th ranked Tennessee and they have FSU and LSU on the schedule.( If UL gets to take Florida state as a top 20 ranked team when they played, Florida gets UT).
And as far as UL being at worst a New Years day 6 contestant? Really? At worst? UL loses any game on their schedule and they drop like a rock. Lose two and you could be in the Belk or Music City bowl.
I don't agree that their schedule is crappy but it's not what you need to get in the play offs. The only shot they had was to beat Clemson. Without that win and with the schedule they have they are a top 10 but not top 5 team. Unless some of the top 4 lose games UL will get left out.You cant continue to play crappy teams and playbin terrible conference and be rewarded for it...you look at all those teams in front of them and they quality wins...UL doesnt have that and barely beating Duke and Virginia destroyed them

UL fans should pray UK wins all of its remaining SEC games.
Some of us are. Well, all of them except for the game on November 26th.
I don't think it matters where they are after tonight. If Washington wins out, they are in.Does OSU vault Washington into #4 if both teams win tonight?
I don't think it matters where they are after tonight. If Washington wins out, they are in.
100% yes. If Washington goes undefeated, they are in the CFP.Yeah? Ya think? If OSU and UM each have one loss playing much tougher schedules? Not so fast, my friend.
100% yes. If Washington goes undefeated, they are in the CFP.
The committee has shown they love Conference Champs. If a Power5 school goes undefeated and wins their conference championship, they will always make the CFP. We will find out in a few weeks if they are undefeated.I disagree.
I used to think so. But not any more.

Looks like Washington is in if they win out.Conf championships only come into play if the committee thinks two teams are equal.
Preach it, brother. The loss to KENTUCKY ain't gonna help their case
In a nutshell, there is a lot of football to be played. We have learned that from previous seasons.UL isn't going to play in the ACC title game. Even if Clemson drops one they win the tiebreaker. But it seems at least possible they could sneak in the back door with an 11-1 record. Michigan still has to play Ohio St. Washington still has to play Wash St a team which is undefeated in the PAC and 7-2. Plus it's a rivalry game. What if OSU beats Michigan, and WSU beats UDub? And what if Clemson loses one. Then you have a group of 1 loss teams including UL. There's a lot of people around here floating this scenario. CU will likely finish 10-2 and win their division. What if they go to the PAC title game and beat Washington with either 0 or 1 losses. You'd have a PAC champion with 2 losses and no shot at the playoffs. That would also likely help UL's chance.
Looks like Washington is in if they win out.
Ohio State just beat the current #19 team in the nation 62-3 while Washington beat 4-5 Cal 66-27 and they did not jump them. If they didn't jump then last week after that, they aren't jumping them. Ohio State currently plays the #3 and #7 teams if they win out. UW plays the current ranked #12, #20 and #23 teams in the nation. As I said before, no way an undefeated Power 5 team gets left out. Why? Because they are in the four now? I am not sure that is how it works. If OSU wins out, I could jump Washington because of its schedule.
