Yeah, the 2014 team would win and I don't think it's that close.

A better question might be who wins the 2019 vs 2007 match-up? Maybe the fact that I think the 2007 team wins with either Ganz or Keller shows how disappointed I am in this year's team.

Ugh, God, do I have to watch those games?

Give me 2014 over 2017 and 2007 over 2019 I guess.

Agree, only team playing their best at the end also. A healthy 2019 in a month may have a chance in it.

Really? That 2014 team started 8-1, then went 1-3 in their last four games. So I guess I’m going to need you to help me understand how they were playing their best at the end. Was it when they were giving up 408 yds and 4 TDs to Melvin Gordon, in a 59-24 beat down by Wisconsin? Was it when they lost 28-24 to a Minnesota team that went 8-5? That Minnesota team also went 1-3 at the end, with the lone victory being against our strong finishing Huskers.

2017 is probably the worst overall team we've ever had.

2007 maybe the worst defense we've ever had

2014 was actually one of our better teams until Ameer got hurt. Don't think this team belongs in the poll. Maybe you are thinking 2015.

2019 the story is not done being written...

Maybe you are thinking our good run at the end of 2015. 2014 we were not playing their best at the end. Ameer got hurt against Purdue(?) and we weren't the same after that. He played but wasn't healthy for the Wisconsin beat down. We lost 3 of our last 4 that season: Wisky, Minnesota, USC.

Yeah, all the last 10 years is a bit of a bad blur

Maybe it’s just me but all those years excluding this year (hopefully) were HC finally year. not sure if that’s what the OP was aiming at. Also they were make or break years for the coaches.

2007 - BC
2014- Bo
2017- MR

If it is indeed to look at make or break years I’m going to throw in 2003 & 1990.

so maybe not necessarily the worst teams but the worst year for fans

Well then I’d rather compare this year to 1990 for a couple of reasons...

A) Scott Frost isn’t going anywhere just like Tom wasn’t going anywhere in 1990 & the staff will get a chance to make adjustments in the off season

B) Husker fans aren’t getting a so-called quick fix and reason to feel “optimistic” in the offseason

C) Also hype- In 1990 we were the #1 team in the nation for about 2 minutes until Eric B and the Buffalos exposed are conditioning in the 4th Q. That team was extremely hyped. Top 5 for most of the year to ending up I believe Tom’s worst rated team at years end

Someone was hired to do a job. No one is coming in this year to try to clean up their mess.

Just remember, when we won, you had "to evaluate where Iowa was."
