Again what did I type that was incorrect?
I think you are missing the reason conservatives hate this agency....there is NO oversight. Mulvaney answers to NO ONE. As he said this week (can't remember if it was in written or oral testimony), next time he gets called in front of Congress he can just sit there and play Candy Crush.

BTW, it's kind of funny because Mulvaney railed about this while Dodd-Frank was being passed.

But that can be changed I do believe. While the governance structure has been missing from the start...(passed with the help of Senate republicans) the positives of this agency to date have far outweighed the bad. Once Warren was out of the picture, the agency actually has been rather tame except for slapping a few very large banks for their shoddy behaviors

Maybe energy should be focused on fixing Dodd-Frank, including CFPB oversight.

No doubt about it. Spelling words on a message board is life and death and thank the flying spaghetti monster there are Patriots like you who do this to save the world never worrying that it may make you appear to be a massive douchebag.

I think it is in the works. Actually I think that this is evidence of how gov should work. Lots of pork in Dodd Frank and it went a little overboard perhaps. Now fix it and tailor it for our needs today. (without pork)

Ahhh...I see you missed me pointing out the irony in THE calling him dense and then misspelling a 2nd grade spelling test word.

I forget that people like you don’t pick up on things like that easily and they must be spelled out for you. I will try to be more accommodating.

Is this the part where I call you a curse word and pretend I owned you?

What you said directly or implied indirectly? Indirectly, you implied we shouldn’t be concerned over the Fed Govt illegally obtaining banking information on millions of Americans in violation of our Constitutionally protected freedoms because....wait for it.....its a small agency with a small budget and I’m guessing because it also involved St. Barry’s administration.

Hahaha. I really needed all that spelled out. I am sorry that life has dealt you whatever it did to put you into a place where you need that sort of forced arrogance to boost your ego. I figured you were going places.

Voice to text does wonderful things. Accurate spelling is not always one. You tone deaf libs should give up on that argument.

You missed Mulvaney's testimony yesterday.

Just a guess here but every regulatory agency that oversees banking would have some access to consumer banking information. The fact that they are they have the word CONSUMER in the April 1 name might imply that they could have a little more of it.......Your Sean Hannity driven paranoia is simply trifling in this case.

Those other regulatory agencies have Congressional oversight.

They still have a budget, do not report to the president, and do not have Congressional oversight. That's like a company with no board of directors and don't report quarterly. They are given access to all kinds of financial things that even typical government departments do not have. It's a problem waiting to happen. It already has been in smaller degrees.
