Why wouldn't they do it on the practice fields or inside the stadium? The game is not until 8:15 pm and GD will be over by 12 pm. I am concerned with the parking and transportation from where they want to have it now. What say you?

They are unable to do it inside PJCS like last year due to construction/renovation. Jurich and Petrino probably don't want that whole scene on the practice field. They likely chose Grawemeyer Hall for aesthetics, given its an impressive building with The Thinker an all.

If you think about it, it's an ideal location. Dead center near all of the student housing/dorms. Picturesque setting similar to other settings that CGD likes to use. For us "non students" yeah it will be a pain to find parking to get to it, but you just have to love the backdrop!

They like having it on campus. Think about it all the students are right there. And that's who we want to give priority to anyway. It will be crazy and the back drop is excellent. Should show off UL perfectly.

In addition to the other comments, ESPN keeps the stage up and broadcasts from it thoughout the day. That rules out being inside the stadium. That worked last year because they kept the original stage by the practice facility to use. Also, there are numerous parking lots within a few blocks of that area. I am sure that ULPD will relax enforcement for those few hours. They would have done it there last year, except the noon kickoff required that it be right next to the stadium.

Love the idea of showing off Belknap a bit.My alma mater is over 200 years old and I'm never surprised at its beauty.Time to share.

My only regret, is it isn't in the Fall season.
