He absolutely should lose a ton of credibility. The dude's become rich and famous selling his ability to predict draft order, but we now learn he's been doctoring his past articles to make his picks look better than they actually were. It's pure dishonesty.Originally posted by Son_Of_Saul:
Chad Ford certainly loses some credibility as a result of this.
This was the same guy who was assuring people that Daniel Orton was going to be taken near the lottery. I'm sure he has good sources but he's never been credible to me.Originally posted by Son_Of_Saul:

Yes! Which clinched it for me.Originally posted by BostonCat2001:
isnt this the guy who said james young best attribute was his passing?
Yep, I remember that Young scouting report being as about the first moment I realized Ford was full of ****. The things Young did worst at Ky Ford was claiming were his strengths, things he did best Ford claimed as weaknesses. It was like he scouted the bizarre world version of Young.Originally posted by BostonCat2001:

I agree. These organizations are supposed to have some sort of professional standards, even if its sports.Originally posted by Big Blue 1977:
While this is a tempest in a teapot (as are sports, generally), this should get him fired immediately.

Yup. Some people who sell stock picking subscription services do the same thing. Point out all the good picks you made last year and edit the bad ones out. Revisionist history marketing.
he went to BYU but grew up in Kansas City and is a huge Kansas fan.Originally posted by AnarchoNeoLuddite:
Chad Ford has got to be an alumni of an ACC school or Uconn....

Statement from ESPN:
"After reviewing the post on Reddit today, we have found that changes were made manually to Chad Ford's NBA Draft prospects rankings. We have not been able to determine who made the changes, or when. We have talked to Chad Ford, who strongly denies any involvement, and based on his past work and professionalism, we believe him. Our review will continue but it is unclear at this time if we will be able to ascertain who was responsible."
Plus why would expert hackers have any motive to make Chad Ford look better without telling him? Makes no sense at all.Originally posted by Big Blue 1977:
So super-awesome-expert hackers got into ESPN's system and made Chad Ford's picks look much better, leaving no trace. Seems likely.
ESPN's arrogance is just too much. They always go at least one step too far.
Maybe we can get them to fix the schedule and score functions on this site.Originally posted by Big Blue 1977:

So Ford came to them and said "Hey, if it looked like I was more accurate, I think we would get more insider sales." ESPN agrees, gets busted and everyone denies, denies, denies.Originally posted by kornucopia:
