There schedule ranks 362 out of 365 teams one of the worst in the nation we would be undefeated against those 31 teams I hope you believe that
I also believe that the regular season matters and they won 31 games. They should be a lock for the tournament over these teams with losing conference records in the power conferences that schedule cupcakes to pad their win loss. I hope you believe that.

I never said that they would whip us. I dont think they are as good as people say they are as I just watched the Miami vs Ohio game and the 229 NET Ohio almost beat them. That said you can only play the schedule in front of you and that is who they had and they won their games. They have more than 30 wins in the regular season. This isnt counting the MAC tourney. If you win 30 games you should have a seat in the tournament no matter the strength of your schedule. I also believe that the power conferences should schedule mid majors more in the Non Conference. but they would rather play each other.

Now lets use a metric that the NCAA is using right now that they are saying is being used as a criteria to get into the tournament. They are using the WAB. This is Wins Above Bubble. What this is supposed to tell you is how other teams would have fared against your schedule. This is resume based and does not allow for Margin of Victory which we have all been accustomed to.

Miami of Ohio is currently ranked 30 out of 365 teams. That alone should put them in the field. Compared to the American teams. South Florida is a 61 and Tulsa is a 67 in the WAB. With those rankings we dont stand a chance to make the field hence why we have to win our conference tournament. The metrics even side with Miami OH.

Back to the scheduling of teams. We have to get back into some of these 3 day tournaments. Especially the ones in Hawaii and Vegas. Those tournaments draw the bigger power teams such as Duke, Gonzaga. NC, etc. We can schedule more of the upper mid majors and do just fine with the NET and stuff. The problem is that the other upper mid major teams want to schedule the major teams and then we get left with the lower mid major teams. I also have a problem with the term mid major. To have a mid (aka middle) you have to have an upper teir and a lower tier. We dont. You have the 5 Major conferences and the other 26 conferences are considered mid majors. I want to choke out the NCAA like I wnat to choke out McDonalds. How can you have a large and a medium but no small. if you have no small then you have no medium so the medium is the small. same thing here there is a Major team and then a lower teir team. there is no mid. I you want a mid then make a mid and a lower. its dumb. Now I am venting.

Stop with the 1 and 2 day MTE and get something with a major conference team in it

If we were 28-3/29-2 and they were 31-0 with their schedule, we both failed to win the tourney, and they got an at large bid when we didn't....

Then I would be upset with the circumstances. Otherwise I'm fine with it.

Agree, However, Akron is like 25-5 and easily could upset Miami in tournament. Should Miami of Ohio with a 30-1 record get in along with Akron who played a tougher schedule. Things like that make the committee’s work more complicated. TU I think still has the best of the 3 SOS around 100 or so. Think Akron closer to 150 and Miami Ohio below that.

The committee's work is complicated, and we have to mention that they step on it in favor of the big conferences. We always have to talk about both those issues.

The current WAB rankings

30 Miami (OH)
60 South Florida
61 Akron
66 Tulsa

this is why Miami (OH) will get in over Akron

I also believe that the regular season matters and they won 31 games. They should be a lock for the tournament over these teams with losing conference records in the power conferences that schedule cupcakes to pad their win loss. I hope you believe that.
Yeah I’m not impressed with a team going 2-12 against Q1. I’ll take the 31-0 team that’s 0-0 against Q1 over that
