Chandler and Moreno I feel are the core of the team and he if goes then I think we are in some real trouble going forward. I know it’s not what we want currently but CC leaving really will raise a lot of eyebrows and definitely will be granted. Replacing this many coaches along with basically a new roster in a short period of time…….can’t say I trust they can do that and get us back to relevancy.

Isn't Trilly Donovan Matt Norlander?

Also, I think he gets like 6/10 things right?

I could see Chandler going back to BYU next year.

I personally think Chandler is a key piece next year. He's not the main guy but he's a guy. He's basically a good roleplayer imo.
He's too wildly inconsistent and limited in too many ways to be a main guy right now. Could he take more of a leap, I think so. I'd love to see it.

I agree. Chandler is a 10-12 minute off the bench role-player guy. He has a lot of potential and still has a lot of issues. Again, I think under the right coach most of Pope's players this past season would be better.

Chandler would be an excellent 6th man guy.

No he's not Norlander, he's the Florida guy. But he gets way more than 6/10 right when he makes a pick. Notoriously bad at picking guys to UK though.

I think 6th man is right but the mins for that is more than 10-12.

10-12 minutes? He's not "THE guy" but he's better than that
Did you not watch him this year? He can only perform for that amount of time and when he plays long spurts he makes way too man terrible mistakes on defense and has terrible bad turnovers. 10-12 minutes baring on roster as a 6th man yes. Could he get more time? Yes. But he has to improve. He has a ton of potential.

I could believe this is true. I could believe this is something an agent says to obtain a raise.

IMHO, you keep Chandler for his shooting and work ethic, if the price is right, but either you design an offense to free up his shooting or you bring him off the bench in relief for your 2G. And you don’t rely on him as a primary ball handler.

We have landed 0 big portal commits, so I’m not positive that number will change going forward. To this point, I’ve seen nothing that tells me otherwise atleast.
Well I thought he wasn’t good enough according to the fan base. Maybe we will get someone better? I haven’t seen a big portal player enter the portal yet.

Chandler is a really good spot-up shooter. I'd hate for UK to lose him due to that, but at this point he really hasn't shown a lot more than that - although to be fair, I think he has shown more ability than the typical spot-up shooter. To me Chandler is kind of a 3 & D guy without a strong "D" component. I really prefer a starting 2G that has more dynamic ability, e.g., shifty, play off the bounce, quicker release, get in the lane and finish, etc. I could certainly be wrong - and both players might make a leap in ball-handling and ability to get in the lane - but I see Williams and Chandler's roles on offense as too similar to start together UNLESS you have a PG that is a monster at getting in the lane and defenses have to collapse.

Folks… time to wake up and realize that Mark Pope is a dead man walking. It’s inevitable. The assistants knew it. The players know it. I wouldn’t be shocked if we only return two or three guys. THE only reason why we’re still discussing this is because our AD is retiring in two months, doesn’t care, and is a moron. We’re not gonna have a good team next year. I will guarantee hands down we don’t make the NCAA tournament.

Kentucky basketball will be laid desolate for the next 365 days and there ain’t a damn thing any of us can do about it.

If Chandler and Moreno are the core and not complimentary pieces, we're in deep doodoo.

I feel much the same. It certainly has all the earmarks of a sinking ship.

I have always thought we'd get 3 meaningful players back. Moreno, Chandler and Williams. Now I'm not 100% sure of that.

The thinking is that a quality player ahead of him should be playing at least 28 minutes, if we want a TOP TEN team. He averaged around 10 points in 27 minutes of action. To be a great team, he needs to be recruited over and play fewer minutes. 8 points in around 15 minutes sounds about right to me.
