no music? JG

How about teaching the line to block and the "not so special" teams to not field punts inside the five yard line.

Funny I came in to post, “was the change that someone pulled the punt/kick returners aside to tell them not to field punts/kicks inside the five. At this point they’d be ahead of the game if they didn’t field punts inside the twenty”.

Not sure how the lack of music would get in the way of that. But it does seem like we spend slot of energy focusing on the wrong things.

Does anything be know if we were playing music at practice when Spielman was fair catching punts on the 2 yard line?

Like dancing? You took this long to realize it? Dumb dumb dumb

Another example of focusing on **** that doesn’t matter. I showed you videos of Saban and Urban Meyer practices with players dancing, that isn’t the problem, just like music isn’t the problem, you can find programs all over CFB listening to music. Focusing on and/or worrying about dumb *** stuff like that, is the problem.

It was celebrated by a staff that doesn’t demand discipline. So yes it’s a problem. They want to be liked and not respected. Most of the coaches don’t mesh with the modern day skill player so they try and be liked by acting buddy buddy in practice. No discipline. You still don’t see it? Lol

You are really dense, I have shown you the best coaches in the history of the game allowing the same thing at practice. We don’t suck because of music or dancing we suck becaus we don’t teach blocking and tacking worth a ****. The rest is just noise .

Ignore the troll… huskerz99 reincarnated. Same screen name with one number change, same trolling about dancing. He’s a tool as well as a troll.

Just waiting for the feigned ignorance pretending not to know who huskerz99 was.

actually it could. The whole mood may be more businesslike as opposed to loosey goosey.
I agree, but it could also help a player who is too tight, loosen up and help get into the zone.

Music/dancing and all that, is just fluff and not really something I'm personally worried about.

My concern is that the coaches are not actually helping the players overcome their mistakes.

It's real easy to point out the mistake, but it's another thing entirely to show a player why it's a mistake, how to avoid it in the future, and/or other things they can do to mitigate what they are reacting to.

To me, that is the hard part (and necessary) part of instruction. You can't just point and something and say 'that was wrong' because then guys are too worried of making a mistake to do anything.

I would rather get rid of music in place add coaches.

I say that cause we certainly dont have any on offense or special teams.

It boggles my mind: how hard is it to pull the PUnt returners together, have them stand at the 10 yard line, and say”if you have to take one step back, let the ball go”. Seriously, the coaches inability to fix this simple problem makes it highly unlikely they can turn this mess around.

Do you really believe that they didn't tell them that? I find it hard to believe that anyone would need to be told that. Sometime players do things that you tell them not to.

Told my buddy a huge Iowa fan about the no music at practice and he just looked at me with a blank expression and said “so that’s supposed to help them win games then”... I really didn’t and still don’t know what to say. Seriously who the F comes up with these ideas! JV type crap.

When the coaches start blaming the music that's when you know it's all over for them.

I 100% believe our punt returners have complete license from the coaching staff to field a punt anywhere on the field.

Evidence:

1). That fits exactly into "no fear of failure'". Be the hero. Be the guy that brings one back 99 yards. Smart football be damned, hold my beer. How many KO returns did we bring out of the end zone last season only to get stuffed on the 12 yard line?

2) CTB is not the only punt returner to field a punt inside the 5 yard line under this staff. Spielman did this more than once.

In the last 3-4 years how many of our opponents fielded punts inside the 5 yard line?

What evidence is there that this has ever been addressed outside of someone bumping their gums about 'working hard' on special teams play?

I don’t think for 1 second that the coaches are telling players to field a punt inside the 5 yard line. But when you see them do it, and then send them back out there to receive the next freaking punt you’re telling the dam players they can do whatever the **** they want. So yea they are letting the players do whatever they want.

Precisely. There's a difference between telling a player to field a punt inside the 5 and letting a player do whatever they want on punt returns. As this weekend wasn't the first time we have seen that happen under this coaching staff, I'm not sure what other conclusion you could reach.
