He’s a project player. Don’t watch it in the dark. It’s scary haha.
In all seriousness though, he’s a great rim protector, but needs to work hard on footwork and inside scoring. He can shot serviceably, it just takes a while to get that shot off.
Can he dunk? Also, would you say he’s Casey Sanders with a jumper?
I see him with a couple of years at Duke which the program badly needs. Hope you guys that have some inside contacts track this one as it looks real important to me.
First 8 plays on this highlight-reel include dunks. Not an explosive athlete, obviously. But a little more agile than Vrankovic, I would say.
My dad used to say that about Serge Zwikker... but yes, not the most explosive athlete.
Coleman hanging with our freshmen. I'd be surprised if he doesn't commit before the end of the month... Also, he looks like he could be Dwight Howard's younger brother. Uncanny.
I had relatively high hopes for Vrank. I thought he would be a lot like Zoubek when I saw him his freshman and sophmore year. And what do you bet this guy is closer to 6-10 than 7 foot? All these guys and teams lie about their players height like it's no ones business.
He's got several inches on RJ and Zion. I'd say the difference is a good 4-5 inches... Read that he has a 7'4 wingspan. I don't expect meaningful minutes from him (should he commit) anytime soon, but he could be solid by his junior year. He moves better than Vrank and he can stretch the floor a bit. Give him time and he could be valuable.
Perfect scenario is Javin and Bolden come back and we get this kid. But if we get one back and Coleman we are in good shape for next year.
There isn’t really any scenario that relies on getting Coleman for next season. We want him, but he’s a longer term project. Neither Javin or Marques play much of a role into the final verdict.
He’ll get more chances to play early there. There was no chance he was going to be a factor next season.
100% agree completely.. he would have been depth in his junior and senior year with spot games a la Vrank
