Resulting from the continued success of the Peanuts franchise, isn't Schultz the.....or pretty close to the.....richest (or perhaps highest paid is a better description) deceased individual in the US ?? I think that title used to belong to Elvis......or perhaps Michael Jackson......but I want to say I've recently heard Schultz now has that "honor".

His family maintains a strict control over the Peanuts property. It took my friend years to convince the family to allow Fox to make a new movie, and even then they wanted strong input on the script and direction.

I finally looked it up and.....at $40 million in 2015.....Schultz finished 3rd on the list of top earning deceased celebrities behind, well, Michael Jackson ($115 million) and Elvis ($55 million). In retrospect, I guess it makes sense MJ would be comfortably at #1 on this list.
