Charlie Rose cites "Lock her up" as example of crude political language in light of shooting

I thought the main stream media would focus on gun control but never thought they would blame GOP campaign rhetoric (LOL). All too predictable.

During CBS’ coverage of the shooting at a Congressional baseball practice, anchor Charlie Rose stated, “people talk about things like ‘lock her up,’ and we saw some of the most crude political language that we’d heard. … This has been a season of sort of coarse political rhetoric.”

Rose said, “[W]e saw during the time that members went back home, because of some of the debates in Congress, they were particularly raucous town meetings, not about threats to their lives, but clearly, the level in combativeness was more apparent than ever.”

He later added, after Congressional Correspondent Nancy Cordes said that it can be difficult for members of Congress to tell who is merely exercising their free speech rights and someone who has the intent of committing violence, “Clearly, we saw that during the campaign, which people talk about things like ‘lock her up,’ and we saw some of the most crude political language that we’d heard, even though there’s a long history of political attacks in American politics since the Founding Fathers. We did see expressions that we had not heard before. This has been a season of sort of coarse political rhetoric.”

Glad to see Charlie sold his soul. I used to enjoy his one on one interviews on PBS.

Far left lib, always has been. But he is good at his job as long as you know which side of the aisle he represents. But to use "lock her up" rather than the many, many anti-Trump, anti-GOP statements is absurd.

PBS has gone far left. I still watch it a lot. One of my all time PBS shows is NOVA which has been sponsored for many years in part by one of the Koch brothers. Some of the PBS nuts have been calling for NOVA to cut ties with him.

Other left wing nuts want Museums and hospitals in NYC to stop taking Koch donations. Many on the left are simply losing it.

I watched a show last week on PBS that detailed the plight of a town in Mexico that was affected when Ford decided to pull out of a assembly plant. The show really played up how terrible it was for the people and the town......I was almost moved to tears especially when they placed the blame on Trump. I guess they had no need to do the same kind of heart wrenching story about ALL the towns and people in the rust belt that were been harmed when their jobs were moved to Mexico.

We need to shut down federal funding for PBS. Let them survive with private donations.

What a joke, Kathy Griffin holding up a bloody severed head of Trump. I guess he intentionally missed that one
