Damn hot. Dude can flat out coach.
He can go to a LOT better programs than NU. If they really want him, they better go for it now. Chicago would be the only reason he choose NU over a program with more history. I don’t think he is going anywhere after this year.

He’s probably getting more and more popular in Bloomington.

Though I really imagine whoever makes the decision being reluctant on hiring anyone without a power history. The Crean/Miller recent history was brutal and decision makers might be afraid of a future “I told you a mid major coach wouldn’t work”.

I agree the Chicago connection is, and probably always was, the only reason he could be tempted by NU. But right now DePaul is placing the call and Marquette is just a bit over an hour north of Wilmette.

I don’t see him leaving for either, especially DePaul. Marquette has history but most of it was in the Al McGuire day and built the program by taking some chances in kids.

If NU really wants Moser, I hope they do it now. Find out if he is really interested, if he isn’t find out a way to throw the support for CCC. Having Moser as a waiting in the wings guy strikes me as a bad idea. CCC has an uphill battle next year as the hottest Coach out there is 5 miles South of campus and has publicly stated a desire to stay in Chicago. Moser would take over a veteran club and maybe he can find something there. I am fond of CCC and am one of the few that doesn’t put the NU problem entirely on him, but having Moser right down the road next year would put a really hot lamp on him and the team. It is starting to have the feel of McCalls exit.

There’s a good chance I see Marquette as more attractive than in reality it is. My wife went there and, therefore, I root for them.

I used to see them, like you, as Al McGuire and not much more. But since the final four run they have sustained getting really good recruiting classes in. Williams did it. Woj did it. I understand some of the attractiveness, NBA arena, one of highest attendances in the country... but not all of it. Still a bit of a mystery to me how so many highly touted recruits end up there.
