Cherokee at North Duplin

Should be a good game You can never never go on scores and seasonal records, in 2006 #4 seed 10-2 ND went to #1 seed 12-0 Cherokee the outcome a 13-0 Rebel win, So going into this game, it's going to be who wants it the most, so good luck to both teams, Go Rebels!!!
For the season, Rosman was pitiful, but they got a whole lot better during the break as most of the injured players returned for this game....Lost our Middle LBer to a broken foot in the game against Brevard, and he was reportedly one of the strongest kids on the team, benching over 300lbs, and he is only a Sophomore along with the QB and a bunch of other younguns....
As for North Duplin, the QB has rushed for over a 1,000 yards this season, and I'm sure that the Rebels were overlooking the Tigers which was nearly a mistake on their part as Rosman had a TD called back, and had the ball deep in Rebels' territory a couple other times, but couldn't cash in....
Again, I didn't see the game, but knew the Tiger Seniors would not go down without a fight and for that I'm proud of the effort that the Tigers gave, and it doesn't matter whether anybody else seen any improvement in this team or not?
As for the game between the Rebels and the Braves, it's the 2nd round of the playoffs, and you better not take any team lightly from here on out, or it will be basketball season sooner than you want it to be....The 2006 game as mentioned above is a perfect example of that as the Rebels went to the Reservation, and shutout the #1 seed and unbeaten Braves....Best I remember, the Rebels had a very good QB that season as well....
Should be an interesting matchup in Calyspo this friday, and I of course will be rooting for the Braves along with all the other SMC teams in the 2nd round.....
ND is pound you for two yards one yard five yards four yards until you are worn down and then BOOM they start breaking gains because you're out of position and all of a sudden the Rebels are breaking plays all over.
The noise ain't coming from cherokee fans lol we have had a couple of run ins with north Duplin so we know we in a dog fight
should be classic old school....(pound and ground ) football game. 2 great schools as communities...im showing my age but im tired of these basketball scores in football and i dont think we will see this in calypso friday night. good luck too both teams!!!
It took a few games for the Rebels to get the Team concept down pat earlier this season but it has been fun to watch them grow. Rswdstu, think it will be our type of game. Turkey, Braves and Rebels make for a Happy Thanksgiving.
Don't have a dog in the fight but I will be pulling for our conference member ND. I dont know anything about the Braves but I have witnessed this season a solid ND team that I believe will continue there run in the playoffs! My Tigers are done but in the spirit of the Carolina Conference.
