Chicago Catholic League Week III

Pick all the games.

Blue:
PC (35) @ MC (16): Too bad Fratty's busy planting For Sale signs on Cog's lawn, otherwise he'd have a good take on this one. MC is loaded with talent and their posters are trying to hide in the reeds. Caravan 28 Celtics 14
SR (82) @ MCHS (4): The vultures are descending upon the Mustangs. A trip to Lombard may resemble a road trip for the Cuban baseball team. Horses of Lombard 35 Horses of Chicago 7
BR (12) @ LA (1): All the Elite, 5-Star Recruits® of this game are on one team. Still, the Ramblers might show up and give their betters a game. LA 9 BR 7

Green:
SF (55) @ MA (177): The Spartans will invade, but the Cadets will defend their fortress. MA 18 SF 14
F (49) @ DLS (212): Last chance to see Gene Nudo before the Illini hire him. Seriously, it would give that place some much-needed personality. Friars 28 Meteors 7

White:
LFA (281) @ AC (218): The Caxys have a Penn State commit and another guy with 21 D1 offers. Speed kills. AC 21 LFA 7
SI (261) @ SL (173): The juniors of St Larry beat MC as freshmen. SI 14 SL 13
Leo (350) @ BMac (86): The mighty, mighty Lions ain't gonna beat the fighty, fighty Irish. BMac 21 Leo 12

Red:
HF (216) @ GT (295): I wonder if Gordon has a wealthy Napa vineyard owner who'd like to donate a stadium? GT 1 HF 0
East Moline United (469) @ SJ (483): Does United have anyone playing in the NFL? Chargers 28 Panthers 14

MC over PC 35-14: MC should dominate LOS

LA over BR 27-24: let's party like it's 1967.I plan to catch this one at some gin mill on Western. Have to lean LA at home. LA defense at home ie last year beating PC 10-7, bottling Boykin just have to take them. although Rice more weapons then just Smalling.

Montini over SR 21-7:

Marm
Friar
Caxy
Laurence
Bmac
DePaul
E moline

MC over the PC....I don't see this game being close. I'm tempted to make a DOS-like prediction of Provi not crossing the 50-yard line. Provi has weapons, but they have a very suspect O-line. Their RT, a returning starter, was hurt in the JC game. That weakened an already weak position. With the strength of MC's front seven matched against the Provi O-line, it looks like another long night for the Provi QB and RB Warfield.

LA over BR.....game of the week in the state. How good are the Ramblers? No one has been more impressive this year. Rice might have the second best offense in the state (after HF). Holecek will need to be at his best to slow them down. I haven't heard much about Rice's defense. This will be a stern test. The Ramblers have put up a lot of points this year. It may come down to whose D plays better. I'm guessing that will be the Ramblers, especially in Wilmette.

Montini over Rita.....too much speed for the Mustangs.
