Chicago Hope plays Mt Carmel

Not Competitive.
Hope should do well if the stay healthy the rest of the year.
Give them credit for scheduling Goliath week one.
Hope has a small school nice program and after all the crap they took last season with various schools "cancelling" games....I Hope they continue to do well and make the playoffs in 1A. Give them a ton of credit for steping up
The schools who forfeited should have a 1 year post season ban.They do a 2 year here in Tennessee
I give credit to Hope for stepping up but it’s foolish, Mt Carmel should have never accepted this game.
It's a league game ... there was no acceptance or rejection involved.
Kind of think this is a non-conference game otherwise MC has 8 CCL games on the schedule. BR and SR only have 7 CCL games. Both open with two non-con games.
Lets be clear here, Hope never wanted out of their game with MC. They thought about hosting it at their facility as they are the home team after the SF mess but they NEVER wanted out of the game.
MC will clock them, their defense will be one of their bests in years if healthy. Anyone busting on MC for taking this game, they have Maine South in week 2 and Loyola in week 3. Consider it test driving the new car before the race.
So does the Green have to play more conference games than the Blue? Not being a smartass, serious question?
No matter who scheduled it a game like this shouldn’t be played. That’s one of the few issues I have with CCL, their goofy crossover matchups.
How will the loss of Valenti (spelling?) effect MC D?
In my personal opinion not much at all, he’s wasting his time and what I’m sure is a lot of his parents money going to IMG. He was a good tackler against the run but was slow footed against the pass, would have been better suited as a DE or DL. He looks the part though, I’m sure IMG will work with him but doubt he will see too much time. MC has 2 very athletic junior LB’s that will fit in for him just fine.
