pretty smart of nw to wait till now. parker and boyz have to be wondering if the week’s prep goes out the window. almost like a washington situation where the D had to go against the backup with no prep
He's been listed as questionable all along. Iowa has plenty of time to prepare. It's not like they change much defensively anyway.

I think the poorer performance against that QB was more due to the fact it was 27-0 before he came in. We were playing prevent defense the entire second half. Didn’t mind if they scored as long as they took 5-6 min off the clock doing it.

Back up is dual threat. Doesn't change drastically. Mobile qb that can get ball down field.

It was in 2022 but it looks like NW backup had some some pretty solid offers when he committed to WV out of high school

Not like Chiles, he has never thrown for more than 800 yds in a season either.
Meh, a little misleading on that one. He had a torn ligament in his foot last year, and received a medical redshirt. He had 720 yards in 4 games last year. He looks to be more than a capable backup, hopefully the turnover bug sticks to him.

Again, he has played 3 years at WVU and never threw for more than 800 yds. He is a mediocre threat with his legs. Had chances and never really shined. Throws 1 pick for every 2 TDs.

His game film from last year looks pretty decent, and apparently he was injured prior to the KU game, but in no way is this scenario similar to Stratton starting for Iowa. I fully agree he will be a step down from Chiles, but he looks decent. I said hopefully the turnover bug sticks because last year he was 2/2 TD/INT ratio

I was hoping he would play. I don’t want Iowa’s win to get discounted like it’s going to be if he doesn’t.
Winning won't hurt Iowa's CFP chances, but sure, I was looking forward to the Hawkeyes layin' the wood on Chiles. Now they'll just have to take it out on the next guy.
