It's on ESPN's bottom line now.

Would not be surprised to see a top school that has a coach on the hot seat going into 2016 go ahead and pull the trigger on the current coach and hire him. Would also not be surprised to see him sit a year and wait for schools to pull up the dumps trucks of cash to his front door.

Wow. Even with the down year I figured he'd be back. He must have been a pain in the *** to work with; only thing I can figure. Wish I lived within range of WIP right now.

either the Eagles had enough or Chip poisoned his own well to get out and
back to college...kinda suspect he is not unhappy to be out..he'll get a big
college job (oh and by the way for more than 2X what RU would have ever
paid so stop with that noise)...

Very surprising move. Even though Chip obviously made a lot of bad roster moves, Shady, DeSean, OL and had a very predictable offensive gameplan - or so I read. (Reports were that he ran the same 15 scripted plays all game) I am still surprised a owner like Lurie would got back on his decision (HC in three years and GM in 1) so quickly. Wow.

I think he stays in the NFL and ends up in Tenn but I could see Texas A&M dumping Sumlin and bringing in Chip

Some better questions might be:
would RU meet his price and why should he take less?
Also: even if Philly has to pay the difference in salary, why would Kelly think the RU FB program
will get the financial support to make sure he can make it into another Alabama, OSU or even the Ducks.
