That was the best performance on an awards show I've witnessed. Not only that, the country music community was genuinely happy for him and his accolades . Not gonna lie, imyhoughtnmale vocalist of the year was a stretch in the modern country realm but it was refreshing to see him win it

He blowed up the interwebs last night with this, good for him.
And JT is not awesome in everything he does. What a talent.

Have to admit I'd never heard of him. Don't listen to a lot of new music anymore. But that was pretty good and I agree, JT is good at everything.

That was flat out awesome....I've heard a few on this board mention his name before but I'll definitely be downloading some of his music now. Wish they had added another 10 seconds and shown the crowd reaction.

Timberlake is a crossover God. Anything he does is gold, Mickey Mouse Club, Brittany spears, Boy band, single charts, JayZ, now Country, acting and SNL. dude owns a golf course and half the *** in New York and LA. Well done son!

Steeldrivers have never been as good since he left.

They're still good, just not like when he was leading them.

Not much of a country fan but that performance was on fire. Probably a strong if not overreaching statement, but Timberlake is my generation's Michael Jackson. Some have said Sinatra. He can do it all with music. Give him Bluegrass and he would kill it. Give him Jazz and he kills is. Heck, give him Hard Rock and he would find a way to kill it too. Heck, the guy is the best guest host in SNL history. He is one of those guys you wish you could hate, but its impossible because he is just supremely talented.

This isn't the full video...but my favorite is when they go in to the next song and the camera pans out in the crowd...everyone is in amazement bc they are actually hearing music for the first time in forever in the country world.

Your last sentence is on point. I would say real music in fist time in forever! It's a shame that this guy has put in years in Nashville and respected by the community and people like Florida Georgia get a gig over him

Stapleton is very talented, good to see a Kentucky boy do well. And JT is amazing - would have watched those 2 perform for the rest of the show. Great performance.

I was there in the audience. You are absolutely correct. The country music scene is in an awful place right now, and it needs some new blood that isn't Florida Georgia Line or any of that other bro country stuff.

Isbell, Stapleton, and Simpson are out there. At least one is finally getting his shot in mainstream country.

Timberlake auctioned off the guitar he played during the CMAs for Veterans Day. He raised 10 grand for Vets
