New bed cover for my 2022 Ram. My son got me a really nice hand carved UK plaque for our house in the WNC. New Bomba socks. And a few other small things

A beautiful flintknapped point that is translucent, mounted on a deer antler to resemble a skinning knife. From my son in law. He made it all himself. My pride and joy this Christmas. Lots of golfing stuff, plus a huge spice rack for our kitchen from my son, that I’ve been wanting for awhile. Good haul for me.

Better spend those gift cards quick, because (political thread point) so they’ll be worth less and less by the time 2024 gets here.

I mostly just got money, and I'm totally cool with that.

I got to meet my newest niece for the first time, which trumps everything else I got.

I got a 9mm pistol caliber carbine so stay off my lawn.
What kind? Also, if your lawn is longer than 250 yards or so, I'll do whatever I damn well please on the edge if you're armed with a 9mm PCC. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Wife and I bought ourselves a trip to Florida for Valentine's Day. Already looking forward to some sweet, sweet Vitamin D. She's finally been with me long enough to know that if we say we are only getting each other a trip -- that literally means to not buy me anything else because I'm not going to surprise her with something on Christmas morning. So avoiding that argument was a gift in and of itself.

My parents gave us cash and I got long johns and 9mm ammo. So a solid, solid haul.

A Roto Zip saw will all of the trimmings and extra attachments, chocolate covered cherries, chocolate covered almonds, chocolate snow caps, (see a pattern here) I am a chocoholic. One of those gift boxes of summer sausages and cheeses from my MIL that I never eat, and it gets thrown away each year. Wife tells her each year not to buy them because I don't eat or like them but, she does it anyway many years running.

And for the man who wants to get away from MIL, a mini survival kit. Great for those fishing/camping trips.

Lawn is only like 40 something feet to the street so I can almost spit that far 😅.

It's nothing special. I've been wanting to try out one of those Hi Point 9mm carbines for a while. I know gun snobs hate Hi Point but for the cost and lifetime warranty I figured I would give it a shot. Worst case I'm only out like $400 and some of that was paid by others for accessories I wanted to put on it.

It probably wouldn't be my first line of defense anyways. I'll break out the 12 guage shotgun for that. I'll probably mostly just use it for target shooting. At least until I see how it performs. I'd like to one day get an AR but with the governments hard on for trying to ban them I might hold off a little while longer. I'm pretty safe to own this as long as I don't move to California.

That kit looks really cool.

I got some Funko Pops, a FitBit, some new device charging gear, a Batman PopSocket, a tower fan, some retro gaming cases for some Apple devices, and a year subscription to HBO Max (though that was a shared gift with my brother and I). Got a few other small things. Medical director at work also gave everyone a $20 gift card to a local Mexican place.
