anyone else having issues with chrome and java. Java says Chrome is going to quite accepting NPAPI plug in's and gives you a link to a site where you have to enable NPAPI platform to work. Java is encouraging the use of other browsers.

I also keep getting the "java plug in" permission to run message at the top of the page....I've clicked on it and it's not java related....

Have you enabled the NPAPI plugin? The world would be an easier place to exist if java went away.

If you haven't enabled it, put this in your address bar: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi.

Also, try clearing your Java cache. That may give you more options when prompted with Java information (ie "don't show me this again.

Was told at work that Chrome no longer supported Java...which is screwing with our time clock program. But I've not done the research on my own to verify that.

There is a bit of a tussle going on right now between Oracle (who owns java) and Google. There is a copywright infringement claim from Oracle saying that Google's android software violated copywright on java. Would not surprise me if the chrome and java had even more issues in the coming months.
