He didn't have any competition, so you can rule that out. He simply couldn't handle fans being negative towards him, which pretty much eliminates any other place in the world to go play. It goes with the territory. QB plays bad, fans are going to rightfully *****. QB plays good, fans are going to heap praise.
Can't see a true freshman being competition. Think it's more to do with 'hurt feelings'.
