One of the best individual performances of any UL player that I can recall. My concern was the rest of the team’s defensive performance during that 4 minute span. Some of the Pitt baskets were wide open easy baskets. Those 3s resulted in a 6 point lead, but should have been at least 12 point advantage.

Didn't see this thread before I posted in the game thread.
Chucky hitting all those 3s will pay dividends down the road as the scouting report literally changed overnight.

It appeared to me that it was no coincidence that Pitt was successful executing their offense for the first 80% of the game, but faded in the last 20%. The Panthers gave an incredible effort, which resulted in exhausting much of their energy, as this was Pitt’s last opportunity to beat a ranked opponent.

I give CPK credit for pushing the pace of the game, as I think he recognized that Pitt could not maintain their energy at this pace.

This is one exact point I wanted to make. It really turned. They had open shots and couldn't hit. They were tired.
