I have to go get a certificate so I can be a God Parent.. but haven't been Confirmed. Not sure how I'm going to pull this off. Maybe exchange 3 boys for one certificate?

I'm a member at a southern baptist church and even teach Sunday School to 1st and 2nd graders. I enjoy it and it is very much a huge part of who I am.

Now, I'm not really the greatest "witness" in the world. If you wanted to follow me around and write down all of the "sinnin'" I do, you'd have plenty of evidence. I try to live right and not judge others. No one's salvation is up to me, luckily!

I married a catholic. We are one of the ones the priest still recognizes on christmas and easter. And probably wishes he didn't, based on our giving (or relative lack thereof).

I go, not as much as I should, I lost a sibling when I was younger and want to see them again. I would never try and force my religion on someone, I don't think that would convert anyone. I know I'm a sinner, I try not to judge anyone unless they are a real scumbag. I would love it if everyone were saved. I hate how much Christians are mocked, but I know that was brought on by some of the more judgemental Christians.

I'm a church goer and Jesus follower. I get up and lead the folks in the singing of some good adult contemporary praise and worship tunes. That's my contribution. The best part (for me) is that my boys are making friends with some good kids whose families I know and can trust. That's probably pretty shallow, but ...

Agnostic! Stopped going when I was 16 and my mom stopped making me go. Now the only time I'm in church is for family weddings, baptisms, etc. I prefer to spend my Sundays hiking, biking, kayaking....

Yes, Iam a church goer and a Christian. Where I attend we have a Saturday service at 4:00. Which makes it nice to be able to sleep later on Sunday and not have to get up and get ready right away. If any of you are in the New Albany In area its Northside Christian Church on Charlestown rd.

As a kid, I went every Sunday. In college, I was in a religious group with weekly meetings plus attended a regular Sunday church service. I moved after graduation and never started back. Our family did try a church for about 6 months, but dropped it.

In college, I was good friends with 3-4 people that went into the ministry. Our lives just took different turns.

I'm not a Catholic, but I go to a Catholic church regularly, like clockwork actually. Every year around the start of Spring, the local Catholic church has fish dinners on Friday nights for about a month. I go at least twice every year. Would feel bad if I missed to tell the truth.

Two huge fish filets, homemade mac and cheese, baked beans, and homemade cakes and pies. 10 bucks and I get to eat twice off of it.

Church is surrender. A place for the weak to hunker against their crutches. Fearful and wanting the comfort of a herd.

You're obviously trolling, but you don't realize some of the truth in your thoughtless comments. Surrender most definitely takes place and is one of the biggest hurdles when it comes to a relationship with Christ.

Last time I went was before I was attending elementary school and I'm one month away from becoming 32. I consider myself to be an agnostic. I'll just leave it at that.

I go. And I serve. My favorite Apostle is Didymus Thomas (a.k.a. doubting Thomas/Thomas the Apostle)...because he reminds me of me. I believe once I see with my own eyes. My spiritual journey and my weakness of the flesh are in constant conflict, and yeah, the flesh wins out at times.

Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)

25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

I can understand non-believers having no desire to attend church. Why would they? But I find it difficult to understand why believers do not attend when they are free to do so. What makes anyone feel like they would even like Heaven if they have no desire now to support the spreading of the Gospel, spend time with other believers, worship with other believers , or learn more about what God has said?

There are no "little cabins in the corner of gloryland" where one can spend his time alone and not engage in all the other glorious goings-on there.

Rev 19 After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out,
“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,

his judgments are true and just;

for he has judged qthe great prostitute

who corrupted the earth with her immorality,

and has avenged on her the blood of his servants.

sThe smoke from her goes up forever and ever.”

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!” “Praise our God,

all you his servants,

vyou who fear him,

small and great.”

I actually preach every 3 weeks at our church. I love going. I have seen so many answered prayers that I really am.just thankful to be alive and try to do as called. Why do people not go? Well that's the people. No one has a problem with Jesus imo, but lots of people have problems with people who claim to follow him.

Every Sunday! I've been a Christ follower as long as I can remember. Made my public profession and got baptized my last year of law school.

I won't push my faith on anyone but I'm always happy to share my faith with anyone interested.

Same here but took a few wrong roads thru the years. I have been stronger in my faith the last 5+ years than ever thanks to many, including you, Ron. The trials you faced the last couple of years was tougher than anything I have ever dealt with, and knowing how your faith got you through all of that was an inspiration to many.

I am far from the world's greatest witness, but I know what has changed in my life thanks to my faith.

Spent my very early years in a Baptist church, too young to remember much. Teen years were spent in a Catholic church, where I went through the confirmation process. The Catholic church always seemed for show to me, and a lot of it didn't make much sense to me, but I did it for family. Left there and went non-denominational and it was by far the best church I have ever been in.

I'm now in my late 30's and haven't really attended a church in about 20 years. I don't believe church is needed to have faith or "get your ticket punched". To me it's all about how you live and where your heart and mind are. I try to do right, and be a better person each and every day. I've learned over the years that churches test my faith more than not attending. My spiritual journey has been a very bumpy road, as I'm sure it is for a lot of people.

The vast majority of my friends a Catholic and know I am a non believer.

I have been in way to many weddings and a pall bearer at the Catholic Church for there to not be a conspiracy.

I know those SOBs do it on purpose.

I think one of them even had TWO masses just to make me squirm.

The thing that I don't get about Catholicism is why do I need a conduit for God? Why can't I talk directly to him? It's more like a freakin business and he is the CEO with an closed door policy or somethin.

Spent some time out of church (Southern Baptist) during my "roaring twenties" but since getting married and starting a family have attended faithfully. Was actually asked to serve as deacon recently which I hold as an honor. I'm working on becoming a better witness and follower. All I can say is the worst few years in my life happened to coincide with my time out of church.Once I started following again, the rest of my life fell into place and I'm a much happier man for it.

I am a youth pastor, evangelist, teacher, bishop, and about anything else needed in my church. My family spends about 5 to 6 days a week working in some sort of fashion on church items. We moved less then a year ago to be closer to church to be more active in our community.

I guess majority of what I do is listen and try to provide better opportunities for kids. We work with low income children and do a lot of college planning, homework assistance, study strategies, and try to show other opportunities then drugs or what not. Sometimes we have great successes, like two students getting full rides to college on academics this past year, but other times it is not so great. I get one of my students back from incarceration in August from selling drugs at school. Others have been early pregnancy to drugs to suicidal tendencies. My wife and I stay stressed a lot. Each of the kids that we work with are like our own. I have a lot of sleepless nights.

So, to answer your question, yeah I go to church. I am fortunate to.

Raised staunch Catholic. Went every Sunday from birth to 18 years. When I moved out, I knew I was done. Didn't buy into the story. Asked too many questions. Got too many "gotta have faith" speeches. On my best day, I'm solidly agnostic. On my worst day, firmly atheist. I teeter back and forth between no belief and the thought that there could be a higher power, but doubt it all went down the way the ole book said it did.

I've been to about 12 masses since, all being family weddings or funerals.

Married a southern Baptist from a crazy-person "errrrybody's goin' to helll; music and dancin' and anything else fun is evil" church. She quit as soon as she left home too. She's a super atheist now, as in makes me look like a holy roller.

I now worship at the alter of the National Football League on Sundays from September through January. In the offseason, I sleep late and then do what I want the rest of the day.

I don't go, find church to be terribly boring and don't particularly like a majority of the people there. Not sure if that will change once we have our first little one (wife is pregnant). Will probably go for a little while when they're young so they're at least exposed to it so they can decided later on for themselves if its something they want to do. Not looking forward to the 3 hour sunday morning routine that will be involved with it though. [sick]
