That fight would last about 9 seconds. The first 7 of which would consist of cm punk running for his life

I admire the guy taking a risk & trying so late in his athletic life to get into 'real' fighting. so he is likely failed at it, so what, Brock quit WWE and tried to become an NFL DE to spectacularly bad results. hopefully his pride won't hold him back from throwing in the MMA towel & coming back to WWE, because he was wonderfully entertaining on the mic & in the ring.

So Brock's opponent will be Mark Hunt, he is 12-10-1 all-time but is on a two match win streak and beat Frank Mir in his last fight.

Maybe not quite a tomato can but....

It is someone that Brock can ultimately steamroll but still has the ability to knock the crap out of him. Keeps both the UFC and Brock looking legit.

I don't want Brock wasted in WWE. Give the guy the title for a loooooong time or let someone beat the guy and be "made." No more pointless crap like his Ambrose feud.

One of two options in my mind:

1. The Big Dog will milk Brock for butts in seats until the day Brock says I am done
2. The Big Dog will have Brock, when his knees are gone, threatening to jump off the jumbotron due to mental illness or do some other wacko skit and disappear.

I think Brock will walk on his own terms and I would be stunned if he gave anyone a bump. He has a rep and he isn't going to allow that to be damaged.

Anyone see Brock on ESPN yesterday, he stated he had to beat Vince in an arm-wrestling match before he would let him do the fight at UFC 200.

Also read WWE is trying to bring in Paige Vanzant for something at Summerslam.

Watched RAW last night. The ending sucked.

Does WWE not realize that in order for heels to look strong they should stand tall for weeks on end?Faces shouldn't get their revenge a week later. It makes the payoff worthless. "The Club" should be kicking everyone's asses for months and then FINALLY Cena can overcome the odds and defeat them all at the same time with the 5 moves of doom.

The NWO didn't lose for damn near a year in WCW. The Club already has been punked by The Usos (Roman's cousins) and The New Day - a highly entertaining comedy act.

The Bullet Club are some pretty burly dudes (AJ excluded).

WWE, after all of their top talent left in short order around 2003 I believe, made a conscious decision to make everyone a "star." 50/50 booking, no squashes, no Hogan type runs with the belt, etc. What this has done is make everyone a mid carder instead of a main eventer.

All of that is to say, yes it makes perfect wrestling sense to have the Bullet Club come in and kick *** for a long time, then get beaten by a top face or a guy you want as a top face. Vince simply doesn't want to do that anymore. Ratings tel the tale.

* it should be said another problem is no one wants to get legit heel heat anymore.

What was worse about the ending is that when asked why AJ did that last week he said because everyone knows when you go against John Cena you might as well get the shovels.

Then they moved forward with the burial.

What I am thinking is this could be the beginning of New Day coming apart but I hope not!

Didn't the Iron Sheik get stabbed? Or was that Sabu?

I remember my dad teling about a show in Eastern Kentucky where Randy Savage was calling everyone hillbillies and everyone was freaking out trying to get to him.

The only one who I see that type of ability in today is Kevin Owens.

I think Punk had an old lady jump the rail and try to stab him when the SES was hot.

But, yeah, the lady pulling the gun was awesome. She also helped his opponent get free from his assault.

Read up on Ron Wright from the old East Tennessee/Kentucky territory.

Dude had his personal plane blown up with dynamite. He was shot, stabbed, etc. And came back the next week to get even more heat. He worked an angle in Smokey Mountain with Brian Lee and Chris Candido (I think) that was *puts fingers to lips and kisses them* muwah. He was probably 60 at that time

Also, Ole Anderson was seriously injured from a stabbing. They let the old guy who stabbed back in the arena the next show, too.

Final Heat Seeker story: Blackjack Mulligan was stabbed in Boston when he was working for WWF (maybe WWWF) and the guy coated the blade in piss to cause infection.

Old Memphis was bonkers every show in Louisville. You can find stories from early Lawler years where heels were chased and jumped or they would make it to their cars but only to be surrounded every single week when feuding with Dundee, Idol, Rich or Hot Stuff.

My dad refused to take me to those shows but always made sure when WWF was in town we went.

I can't wait for those days with my boys.

I remember going to a WWF house show in Louisville Gardens around 1992 or so and it was awesome. I think it lasted 3 plus hours because they were taping a bunch of shows during it.

The best part was they had to announce Shawn Michaels had won the IC belt during the house show which was a full month before he beat British Bulldog on Saturday Nights main event because they were taping shows in advance with HBK as the IC champ.

I think the main event was supposed to be Ultimate Warrior vs Ric Flair but Flair didn't wrestle so it was Ultimate Warrior vs Nailz instead.

The one I remember most was when Hogan/Slaughter were feuding and were supposed to make a house show main event. Hogan didn't make it and it became Macho/Slaughter no holds barred match.

That was the wildest match I've ever seen in person. Macho was a certified nut!

Speaking of crazy stories, my buddy told me a story a couple of months back about being at a party of a friend and talking wrestling to this guy (who was gay) and swears he had a one night stand with Raven.

Apparently Raven swung both ways.

Best show I have ever been to was in St. Louis circa 1992-1993. Ultimate Warrior vs. Undertaker in a casket match.

They wrestled and beat the hell out of each other for an hour plus. It was unreal.

Crazy Fan Story
http://m.northwestgeorgianews.com/c...086-2cbc-11e6-ae51-c33364c3ca90.html?mode=jqm

I have seen quite a few crazy fan things at IWA Mid-South shows, would have to think about which ones to share

Well tonight is NXT Takeover...Prediction time

Joe over Balor
Nakamura over Aries- But I wouldn't be surprised to see Aries win either
Nia Jax over Aska
American Alpha over The Revival
New Flippy Dude over Dillinger

Well I was 3 for 5 on my predictions...what a show that was last night.

I mentioned this on my Twitter page but I believe the NXT crowd has just about reached the level of Impact Zone for Smarkiness.

I think Nakamura vs. Joe could be a Wrestlemania headliner not just the next NXT show Main Event.

I watched Breaking Ground Reloaded last night and it was fantastic. I also watched the Seth Rollins recovery special and thought that was great as well.

I just fast forwarded last night's show to see how/who won.

The NXT crowd is smarky BUT they still enjoy the show, the chants are about the wrestlers, not themselves. That sets them apart in my opinion.

Huge love for the return of Paul Ellering. I "think" his daughter jobbed on NXT a few months ago, maybe he'll rebuild the Legion of Doom (which was his stable when he managed Jake Roberts and Bundy in NWA before he was given the Road Warriors, the Road Warriors were named LOD when they jumped to WWF.

Nakamura-Aries should have gone to a draw, or had some sort of screwy ending. There needs to be some reason for Aries to keep the feud going.

I don't mind Revival over Alpha. I can see Alpha going to the main roster soon and I also think this gives Garganno/Ciampa a push up the ladder (I am a huge Ciamapa fan from his ROH days as the Ciciallian Psychopath).

I'll reserve judgement on the new guy, but I really like Dillinger.

I really like Asuka. Everyone crows about Nia Jax, but I see her as a poor man's Awesome Kong. Maybe someone can tell me why I'm wrong about her.

Time for Balor to move on up to the main roster where he'll have to overcome not being tall enough. I think he has the goods though.

Honestly, the difference between him and Neville is that Neville isn't very handsome. Sorry Neville, but it's true. Balor isn't a giant, but has charisma and looks good enough that he'll get chances. WWE insists that you have some combination of looks, charisma, ability, build/size, and mic skills. You can have one if you have a ton of it, but it helps to have a bit of all.

I hope Bailey does well on the main roster. If they push the women's division as "sport", she'll do well. She has that girl next door thing going on.

It's a shame that Tully Blanchard's daughter is still too green, otherwise Ric Flair could bring her in and start a strange feud with Charlotte.

Alpha are the best can't miss tag team to hit pro wrestling since the Steiners. I could watch them wrestle the Revival in a best of 95 series. Jordan might do the best hot tag of any wrestler I've ever seen. He's up there with Jannetty, Anvil, Billy Gunn and a couple others.

Speaking of Revival, can we talk about how awesome Scott Dawson is and how he's basically Arn Anderson for a new generation of wrestling fans? He even did a AA textbook DDT counter the other night. I couldn't find a .gif of Dawson's, but it's this one right here.

Hey, here's a piece of crap.

There are rumors that when they do the split that outside the months of the "Big 4" PPV's - Rumble, Mania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series - WWE is planning on doing 2 PPV's a month. One for Raw and one for Smackdown.

Plus they might make Smackdown a 3 hour show...

There is no way anybody could watch that much wrestling a month.

Also, I've said it before, but Das Wunderkid sells the DDT like a boss. Looks as realistic as Steamboat actually almost getting killed with it imp

And after the split RAW needs to go back to 2 hours.

USA is the one that had them go to 3 hours.

I'm hearing SummerSlam is going to be 4 hours.

- Two PPVs a month? No way. That's too much and inevitably, one of the brands is going to be second-tier and not generate as much interest.

- I've been reading Bryan's book after taking a break from it and I just read that creative was down between Daniel Bryan and Cody Rhodes for the 2011 MITB briefcase and didn't know they were giving it to Bryan until the day of the show. With what we know now, I wish for Cody's sake he would have won that briefcase. He was a wasted talent.
