Anyone have insight into this guy? Looks to be a Center out of New Trier that just verbally to Harvard. Had a decent offered list of mostly Ivies and a few mid-majors (and DePaul). Also a member of the IL Wolves. Friends with PBJ and Christie. Seems like a guy we might haven taken a flier on with a large amount of scholarships available.

No inside info other than he seemed to fit the profile of a guy that Collins “could” offer but he’d rather aim higher and see what happens.

Also probably couldn’t afford to have him and Ryan Young, both of whom would need some time to develop into Big Ten bigs.

He plays a different position than young. I followed him a bit this year and the reporting was that he had really developed his game, did well in AAU. I know New Trier staff and they speak highly of the kid's character.

In the back of mind I thought about the Boudreau kid from Lake Forest who was a similar size, killed it at Dartmouth for two years, transferred to another school. And just transferred into Purdue as a graduate. Carmody had offered Boudreau.

I think Collins is looking for more size, more speed and more athleticism. Or an elite three point shot.

Doesn't sound like the profile of a kid we should be trying to bring in the program. Fully the profile of a kid that I would have expected to be recruiting under previous regimes, but we've hopefully moved the bar higher since.

We already have Duke Olges from New Trier. Probably couldn’t handle Ciaran Brayboy in the same year.

Would he be a guy that that CC would want to wait more to develop? Since I don't think Harvard offers actual BB scholarships, might be someone we could pull later. Still NU academics vs Harvard and NU likely comes up short
