Tough kid that beat James. Think he competed at Who's Number One a couple times and highly regarded recruit. Made one mistake after pretty much forcing Perrentin to hang on for dear life much of the match.

Melvin Miller beat him in Powerade finals 4-1 or 4-2. Close match - if I recall he was very close to taking Miller down at end but Miller hung on.

I should be as I live fairly close BUT, it's the first week of November. The rut is going to heat up any day now. Gotta get in the stand..
Im in Potter County. We got some chasing. But not much movement overall. My uncle just got one. A decent 8. I have had the safety off twice. Too much brush for a clean shot.

Great effort by Burnett there to come back and win that match. He lacks some college strength right now but I like his fight and technical abilities.

This Tournament seems larger and more competitive than previous years! The Herring and James early lose don't look so bad, Cortez and Perentin both looked awesome in the next match.

Mountain Mustard rules. My stepmother is from Costello. I knew the Dynda's, Garzells and Duffy's from Austin. Probably spelled the names wrong. We pull a parking meter from town so Austin could have one.

James with a 23-8 tech. He kind of reminds me of Ed Ruth. His movements are so smooth and almost looks like he’s not moving fast when he is similar to Ruth. Not exact comparison but his movements look different than most and Ed is what comes to my mind. Jayden also looks bigger in the chest and shoulders than he did just a couple months ago at U17’s

Some mental midget on TheMat comparing James unfavorably to Bassett and Jax as recruits.

Comparing a kid (a U17 world champ by the way) who will still be 17 late into his high school senior year against single/double holdback guys is genius stuff. Bookmarking this for 2 years down the road.
Jayden might not end up as good as Jax but I bet he has a better career than Bassett
