In reviewing the round 2 games in Class 6A this weekend, here are the teams which are LEAST LIKELY to loose: Prairie Ridge, Hinsdale South, LWN, and Montini. Not sure about Lemont/Crete-Monee, which I think is the most interesting matchup of the 2nd Round. Too many times in the past has SHG lost when favored, so I have no confidence in them, and the other 2 games [Deerfireld/Dekalb and Riverside-BF/Grayslake (North)}, while toss-up games like Lemont/Crete-Monee, are no where as interesting as that matchup.

Hinsdale South v Oak Forest is no gimmie for HS. South will need to play well to win. No taking OF lightly.
Also, LWN v Richards is going to be a war. Richards is tough draw and capable of winning this game. Recall, they gave lemont their only loss this year. In 6a, this is my feeto pick of the week.

I saw your game against Thornton, so I have to believe you are trying to sandbag a bit here. May fool others, but I can imagine the Hornets are already looking forward to meeting up with LWN next week. I would say nice try, but it really wasn't. I can spot a sandbagger from 10 football fields away. I will give you a little bit of a break however, and will not predict if they will make it to Dekalb. How's that?

Yeah not getting the whole LWN will roll mentality.....Richards has won 3 of 4 against LWN and that includes eliminating them over the past three seasons so

With that said, you are correct, LWN has never won at Richards.
We shall see if history holds true or if LWN is able to finally exorcise their Richards demons.

LWN at Richards is no gimme. In fact, far from it. I watched Tommy Mister and Tacari Carpenter run wild on my defense in 2012 up close, and I saw Hasan Muhammed Rogers turn into superman in the last five minutes of the game in 2013 on TheCube. That is just a tough place to play, and Richards is one of the better 6-3 regular season teams. LWN only beat them by a point (I was also at that game) and they really had to dig deep to come back from that.
Something tells me this team is on a mission and will not take the Dawgs lightly, even though they know how to beat them. I just think Slager, Branch, Arthur, Lux and the rest of the crew will come ready to play and they'll escape Oak Lawn with a W, but they will have to EARN it. I like my boys from LWN
