You have to think that the Fox Valley will have a team contending for the 6a title, they usually do. Cary Grove this year? Who knows, it looks like it might be a really balanced conference this year.

All.... I believe SHG overall will be better than last years squad. Having said that though I don't know how it will translate in post season success. Break out teams, and unusual placement of schools in a bracket can throw a curve to any school. Ratsy

I agree I think SHG will be very good this year. I think they had a lot of underclassmen playing in the Naz game.

All.... Geesh, not much out on 6A yet. This is the time of year I start looking at other potential opponents the Cyclones could run into should they make a deep run in postseason play.

At the moment I'm interested to know what NLP and Prairie Ridge have coming into the season. Anyone? Thanks. Ratsy

This may be the longest time period that no one has mentioned "Superman" and IHSA football. PR has 5 players graduating that started for 4 years on Varsity and ended their career with 28 straight wins. They also had more Sophomores playing than Juniors so they may be a year out. Very curious to see what they have coming up but I would never bet against their Coaching staff. It sounds like Cary-Grove is the strong favorite for the Fox Valley with some nice talent coming back. I did hear that their respected Defensive Coordinator Don Sutherland will no longer be running their defense so that should be interesting. Will their talented QB Quinn Priester stay with football since he is one of the highest rated baseball players in the State and heading to TCU for baseball?
